On X day, fans said goodbye. “The world lost two legendary drummers in one week,” one user wrote. Another comment read: “I hope Robin and Maurice are there to greet you.”

Both musicians were long-time members of the Bee Gees. The band was formed in 1958. Colin Petersen joined in the mid-1960s. He left after four years. In the 1970s, Dennis Bryon joined them and created “Stayin' Alive,” “Broadway Nights,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “You Should Dance” and “More Than One Women” and other songs.

'It was a terrible shock'

He said goodbye to his former bandmates on Facebook. «Last week I lost two of the best drummers I have ever known: Dennis Bryan and Colin Peterson. It was a terrible shock. “May he send all his prayers to their family.

«I will miss them both terribly. “I imagined a huge jam session going on in heaven, harnessing the rhythmic talents of Colin and Dennis,” wrote Barry Gibb. “I'm sure all my brothers have been waiting for you two to come to the jam session. I know it's going to be great, I've heard it.” He ended his post with these words: “I love you both.”

Robin Gibb died of cancer on May 20, 2012, at the age of 62. Just a few weeks ago, he announced that he had recovered. His brother Maurice died nine years ago at the age of 52 following intestinal surgery. Barry Gibb turns 78 today.
