Mike Tyson is boxing again. The opponent must be crazy. Because “Iron Mike” is the most evil man on the planet. Warm memories.
Nearly two decades after his last professional boxing match, Mike Tyson is making a comeback. He will beat Jake Paul on Saturday morning (Swiss time), provided the match is unscripted. After all, how is a boxer known as a reality TV star supposed to beat the world's most evil man?
This is a starting point for a kid born in the 1980s, for whom other things are more important than martial arts. But Mike Tyson: That's always been the number in boxing. No one embodies brutal strength and impatient fury at the same time as he does.
Fierce appearance, golden teeth, and steel-like muscles. Machine-made meat. Although it wasn't run by Don King from the start, the shadowy figure with the electric haircut had previously been involved in illegal gambling and served time in prison for manslaughter. This coined word describes someone who is not only famous, but also infamous. “King” is a perfect description.

We didn't know this at the time. But we see pictures of the duo as kids, and we're in awe of Mike Tyson because of the power of pictures. “Iron Mike”! Just the name. A man with an iron fist. Evil incarnate.
We were impressed by the information we received from Tyson through reports in newspapers, magazines and television segments. Anyone who enters the ring to fight him would be wise to consider his will beforehand. When Tyson faced his opponents in the ring and stared at them with eyes filled with hatred and contempt, not even five Imodium pills could save his opponents. Before the sound of the first gong has dissipated, there is already a sound like raindrops.
He is the epitome of a champion. A man who turned every challenge into a sacrifice. “When I fight someone,” he once said, “I want to break their will. I want to take away his manhood. I want to rip his heart out and show him.”

Tyson literally punched out of the gutter. When he was a child, police arrested him thirty times for theft and robbery. At the age of twelve, this bad boy was sent from a poor area of Brooklyn, New York, to the countryside. For those who struggle to educate, the beast should be tamed in schools.
This is Mike Tyson’s redemption. When he excelled in school, he was allowed to participate in boxing training. His coach became a surrogate father. When Tyson's mother died of cancer, he took Tyson in and became his guardian. My father left the family when he was very young.
“Kid Dynamite” has everything he needs for a worldwide career. At the age of 18, he became a professional player. Tyson defeated his opponents in professional boxing just as he had done in amateur boxing before. He sent them packing, often knocking out his opponents in the first round.

Mike Tyson became the youngest heavyweight world champion in history at the age of 20 years and 144 days. Title holder Trevor Berbick at least made it to the second round before Tyson lights out.
We learned all this in faraway Switzerland. What we do know is this: Far away in the United States, there is a beast that is afraid of nothing and no one. She blows away anyone who gets in her way.
With each victory, Iron Mike's fascination grew. It didn't stop when one of the most sensational events in sports history happened on February 10, 1990. Blatant loser James “Buster” Douglas handed Tyson his first career defeat.
After 37 wins in 37 games (33 of which were knockouts), the aura of undefeation has disappeared. Soon after, Tyson was gone too: in prison, serving a six-year sentence for rape. For many fans, the question of how to love a hero who made a terrible mistake remains elusive. Tyson remains her idol. There is a dark, mysterious aura surrounding it.

There was talk of “eternal” dominance, but just a few years later, that was over. For Mike Tyson, however, stopping was impossible, so the comeback happened—and it happened democracy A generation too young for Muhammad Ali will never forget this boxing match.
Upon his return, Tyson became world champion again, but lost the title to Evander Holyfield. He didn't knock him out, but the referee protected a desperate Tyson in the 11th round and stopped the fight.
On June 28, 1997, the rematch came to an end. The scene is remembered not from a sports perspective but because of the bite Mike Tyson took. And because he's Mike Tyson, not just a little bit, but really: Holyfield lost part of his right ear and Tyson was disqualified.
What a crazy bastard!
Of course, a few years later, when I met Evander Holyfield during an interview, that was the first place I looked.
When Tyson started biting, it wasn't just a dramatic, unprecedented event. This is a clear symbol of the boxer no longer controlling his inner beast.
In a shocking move, Mike Tyson bids farewell to boxing. Still, he's in the headlines, almost always unpleasant news. The street thug who first became a prodigy and later became an icon of the sport is now consumed by a personal crisis.
The appearance of a movie in 2009 brought new changes and made it popular again. Tyson, who now has an iconic tattoo on his face, drew laughs with his self-deprecating appearance in the cult film The Hangover.

Maybe the baddest man in the world isn't that bad after all – maybe it's just the role that the performers play too well. But from a nostalgia perspective, hopefully even a tamed beast still has enough bite to show influencers who's boss in the ring.

ZSC sports director Sven Leuenberger has won 11 championships in his career. In “Roost/Röthlisberger – Hockey Talk” he revealed his recipe.
Few people in Swiss ice hockey understand what it takes to be a champion as clearly as Sven Leuenberger. The sporting director of ZSC Lions has celebrated this title eleven times – four times as an SCB player and seven times as an official of Bern and ZSC. “But I always have a huge team behind me: the coach, the coaching staff, the whole organization,” he explained his success in the latest episode of the CH Media podcast “Hockey-Talk,” hosted by Thomas Roost and Matthias Röthlisberger.
