It is now certain that Donald Trump will return to the White House in January. He made many promises during the campaign. He also talked about what he would do on his first day as president.

Be a dictator for once

Trump once described himself as a “dictator.” When asked by the moderator if he promised to “never abuse his power to retaliate against anyone,” Trump responded: “Only on Day One.”

Asked what exactly that meant, Trump said: “I want to close the border, I want to drill, drill, drill.” But he will no longer be a dictator.

“I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill.”

clear his charges

According to Donald Trump's own statements, he wants to fire special counsel Jack Smith, who prosecuted him in two federal cases. “We have Supreme Court immunity. It's that simple. I would fire him in two seconds. That will be one of the first things to be addressed,” Trump said.

By his own account, Trump also wants to punish the prosecutors and judges who oversaw his trial.

Pardon the Capitol attackers

One of Trump's first acts in office may be to pardon some of those involved in the storming of the Capitol. In his view, they were “wrongfully imprisoned.” He downplayed the violence and called the defendants “hostages.”

Regarding the issue, he wrote: “I would be inclined to pardon many of them. I can't speak for everyone, as some of them may have gotten out of hand.”

Oil replacement to combat climate change

Trump said in a campaign video that he wanted to end the Green New Deal if re-elected. The Green New Deal was a political initiative to combat climate change that was never implemented. “To further combat inflation, my plan will be to end the Green New Deal, which I call the Green New Scam. It may be the biggest scam in history,” he said.

Trump also wants to halt wind energy projects “from day one.” He claims wind turbines are “killing” whales. This turned out to be wrong.

Trump cited economic necessity as the reason for withdrawing from climate initiatives and focusing on oil and gas.

Despite some steps toward a clean energy future, the U.S. continues to produce and export more crude oil than any other country during President Joe Biden's term.

mass deportations

Trump announced that he would round up and deport millions of immigrants living in the United States without legal permission. He wants mass deportations on day one.

He said: “On day one I will launch the largest deportation program in American history to drive criminals out of the country. I will save every occupied and conquered city and village, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in prison. And then get them out of our country as quickly as possible.

He hopes to use law enforcement and the National Guard to do that. His accusation that the U.S. is becoming less safe under the Biden administration because of immigration policies has been proven false. Statistics show that U.S.-born citizens are more than twice as likely as undocumented immigrants to be arrested for violent crimes.

Trump's deportations will cost $88 billion a year.

student green card

In the podcast, Trump advocated for non-citizens in the United States to automatically get a green card after graduating from college: “This is what I want to do and what I'm going to do: When you graduate from college, I think you should automatically get a green card.” Get a Green Card as part of your diploma to be able to stay in the country. This also applies to junior colleges. Everyone who graduates from college stays there for two or four years. If he graduates from college or gets a PhD, he should be able to stay in the country. “

“If someone graduates at the top of their class, they can't even sign a contract with a company because they don't believe they can stay in this country. That's going to end on day one,” Trump said.

He also lamented the loss of talented people from Harvard, MIT and other universities.

war in ukraine

Trump claimed during the campaign that he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. He hinted he could do so even before he took office. By the way, you can find more information about his plans for Ukraine here:
