El Hotzo has been attracting millions of people on social media for years. The satirist, whose real name is Sebastian Hotz, currently has 1.4 million followers on his Instagram profile. He provides the community with additional humor and current news every day. He also actively commented on what was going on in the world on other portals – but this ultimately led to his downfall.

After Donald Trump was assassinated in July this year, the internet celebrity also publicly expressed his views on the entire incident. He poked fun at the former president of the United States, which for some may have crossed a line. RBB even terminated his employment relationship at that time. Now, El Hotzo is back and working with a private broadcaster.

Satirist celebrates surprise return of RTL

The 28-year-old has now made a surprise return to Instagram. El Hotzo carries a new format in his luggage, for which he collaborates not only with RTL but also with presenter Jan Böhmermann. The headlines surrounding him in the past should not be completely forgotten. Quite the opposite is actually true, as during production he literally embarked on a “journey of forgiveness” across America.

A brief trailer initially shows the Upper Franconia native crying as Boehmerman recounts his deadly actions in connection with Trump's assassination attempt.

“This is too political for ARD and ZDF. This is what public broadcasters give you. “That's it,” the presenter of “Royal Magazine” even took the liberty of lashing out at his employer. The video description also says:

“German scandal Twitter anchor on mission: El Hozo travels across America to beg forgiveness for his 'Trump faux pas'!”

El Hotzo plans to celebrate its official return on November 3rd. The new format will take him to the other side of the world and will then be launched on RTL+. As the announcement makes clear, it's all about one thing: “Can he win back the hearts of Americans? Will Trump forgive him?”

Trump's tweets spark uproar

It soon became apparent how successful his American tour would be. His tweet last July comparing Donald Trump to “The Last Train” initially caused a lot of outrage. So he asked what the two had in common. His answer to himself: “Unfortunately, we just missed it.”

He was referring to the assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania, which was no secret at the time. Especially since he further supports this with additional statements. “I think it's absolutely awesome that fascists are dead,” he commented on his post on X (formerly Twitter).
