Friends fans are in a frenzy after a recent photo of one of the show's former stars surfaced online, nearly 30 years after his debut as Rachel's charming and troubled boyfriend.
On Monday, a Reddit user posted a recent snapshot of the actor who played Rachel's flirtatious Italian neighbor, Paolo, in the sitcom's first season in 1994.
Paolo made his memorable entrance in episode seven, sweeping Rachel off her feet and revealing his unprincely side by flirting with Phoebe five episodes later.
Despite his character's brief and controversial status, fans couldn't help but appreciate how well the actor has aged, with one Reddit commenter noting, “He ages like wine (better now than he did in '94).”
Can you guess who this handsome actor is?
Nearly 30 years after his debut as Rachel's charming and troubled boyfriend, Friends fans are freaking out after a recent photo of one of the show's former stars appeared online.
On Monday, a Reddit user posted a recent snapshot of the actor who played Rachel's flirtatious Italian neighbor, Paolo, in the sitcom's first season in 1994.
This is Cosimo Fusco, 62 years old, originally from Madera, Italy.
Although Paolo is his best-known role, the actor has appeared in films such as Khan in Sixty Seconds and Angels & Demons, and has made guest appearances on television shows such as Alias and The Mentalist.
Another fan on Reddit wrote: 'It's okay now!' Another said: 'Man, it's beautiful. But of course, it always was.
One succinctly wrote: “Always a good looking guy, they deliberately used hair and clothes to make him look as thin as possible, like someone from the cover of a romance novel.”
The Reddit post follows Fusco's revelation that he improvised many of his lines while playing the cute boyfriend on Friends.
“They asked me to improvise,” Fusco said on the Today show in 2019 ahead of the beloved sitcom's 25th anniversary.
'I was a bit skeptical because my English is not very good now, let's face it. But they told me not to speak English. “Say what you want in Italian.”
“Most of the Italian that Paolo speaks was invented by me,” he admitted then.

As I stand by the window with Jennifer, I say, “Look at the moon, look at the stars.” … I made up those lines.”
At the time, Fusco shared that he was often asked about his experience kissing Jennifer Aniston on Friends.
“She is a beautiful, adorable young woman, a very talented actress,” he said.
'A confluence of rivers [actors] It was incredible, the chemistry was incredible,” he remembers. “They were very generous with me because they understood that I was a young Italian involved in a comedy.”
