My Kitchen Rules star Ash Pollard has revealed he was fired by his house cleaner – and it's not the first time.
In an extraordinary ten-minute video posted to social media on Wednesday, the 38-year-old mother was furious that she couldn't find a cleanser of her “same quality”.
'Can you fire your own employee? Because it was. My cleaner left me as his client. Do you want to know why? I say' he began.
“My cleaner said my expectations were very high for the service they had provided me over the past two years.”
The Australian radio and television personality, who rose to fame on the 2015 season of MKR, was photographed rummaging through her kitchen. She told the story as Melbourne.
Ash explained that his house cleaner, who he paid “a lot of money” to clean his house in Melbourne, where he lives with his partner and two young children, did not clean the shower enough to prevent mould.
'Now, this house was new when we moved in. No one lives here because we have finished building.
'They are the only cleaners who clean this place every fortnight and I do the maintenance in between.
My Kitchen Rules star Ash Pollard has revealed that her house cleaner fired her – and it's not the first time.
'Mold started to grow on our shower gel and cork. They just cleaned it, which means if there was already mold growing, they didn't clean it properly.
Ash said he would hire the same cleaner to take care of the rental before cleaning his newly built house.
I said, “Listen, it's not cleaning properly.” I had to retrieve the stopper and he redid it to make the shower like new again.
I said, “Listen, it's dirty.”
In a text message sent to Ash, the cleaner apologized and said he would take full responsibility.
Ash Pollard, 38, a mother from Melbourne, posted a ten-minute rant about her house cleaner to her 128,000 Instagram followers.
But they decided that enough was enough.
“Your standards for our service are too high,” they wrote. “Good luck in the future.”
Do you know what's funny? This is the second time this has happened to me,' he revealed.
The Australian radio and TV personality was furious that her cleaner didn't prevent mold from appearing in her bathroom and said it was her fault because “no one else” had cleaned the shower since her family moved there.
Because I still think it's them. Maybe it was me,” Ash continued.
'No, it didn't bite me. What's wrong with people today? “People are inferior or unwilling to do the damn work.”
He added that the company he used was “expensive,” but did not specify how much he paid for his biweekly cleaning.
“First world problems, I know,” Ash said.
But then she continued angrily: 'So you think they'll get down on their knees and rub the pulp away!'
They don't have a crowd scrubber. They move lightly across the floor and leave the house.
Ash played in his kitchen, making fun of his cleaner mopping his floors and expressing that he was looking forward to the task.
Dressed in black sportswear and keeping her blonde hair out of her face, the self-proclaimed OG of the reality show swung an imaginary broom back and forth.

“Mopping isn't like that,” he shouted. 'That's how it is! You have to break your back and sweat for it and be the fucking king.”
Ash Pollard appeared on Dancing with the Stars (2015) I'm a Celebrity! Get Me Out of Here (2017) and, more recently, the second series of The Traitors in 2023 and previously criticized broadcasters because he didn't want to be an influencer.
In her next video, the mother of two explained that she's “outsourcing a lot lately” because she's “good at cleaning.” [she’d] I don't want to do that.'
Because I want to do other things. I don't want to waste my time.'
The Melbourne mum turned to her 126,000 Instagram followers to ask if she was being too 'anal' about their expectations, her friend told her.
“I have a lot of respect for good cleaners,” he said. “I can't find anyone with the same level of purity as me.”

Ash also complained that his cleaner didn't vacuum under his furniture, but around it, and didn't vacuum his skateboards.
'I don't even want to get laid anywhere!'
In his next videos, Ash revealed that he went out and bought a duster to do the job himself, and was shocked to discover that the rest of his house wasn't cleaned properly.
That includes the bottom of a floor lamp, between the tiles of your kitchen backsplash, and the tops of your liquor bottles in the back corner of your pantry.
'Yes, that is correct. Add it to my CV. “I'm the new cleaning lady on the block,” she stammered. —But they're not going to pay me for it, right? No.'
'What should a woman do? What do I have to do?'
He concluded that the next time you hire a cleaner, you should write a list of everything you want to do.
However, in a genius marketing stroke, a Melbourne cleaning company edited all of Ash's videos together and said they were ready to work.
Ash has two young daughters: Clementine, four, and Claudette, three.
She was on Dancing with the Stars (2015), I'm a Celebrity! After Get Me Outta Here (2017) and, more recently, the second series of The Traitors in 2023, he has never won a reality TV competition.
In 2022, Ash 'shamelessly' offers to television networks to include him in various shows such as The Amazing Race or Celebrity Apprentice Australia. “I don't want to be an influencer,” he said.
