Paddington Bear was issued an official UK passport by the Home Office.
Co-producer of the upcoming third installment of the film series, the character of Peruvian origin received a passport to travel to Paddington, Peru.
Rob Silva told the Radio Times: 'We wrote to the Home Office asking if we could get a copy and they actually provided Paddington with an official passport, of which only one exists.
You wouldn't think that the Ministry of the Interior had a sense of humor, but according to official observations, they have classified him as a bear.
The passport shows Paddington's date of birth, June 25, his surname Brown and his sex, as well as his British nationality and his place of birth in the South American country of Peru.

The animated series follows the iconic bear brought to life and voiced by Ben Whishaw as he travels abroad to visit his Aunt Lucy in her homeland.
Directed by Dougal Wilson, Hugh Bonneville returns as Mr. Brown and Imelda Stanton returns as Aunt Lucy.
Whishaw explained that taking Paddington to Peru would give viewers a different side to the beloved character. '
The actor told Empire: 'He connects with his country and its downward trend.
“That's what makes him identifiable, eccentric. On the one hand, he has learned to be polite and civilized and do the proper British things.
On the other hand, he is a clumsy bear who creates chaos in his wake.
“That's why kids like it, because kids are in the same situation.”
Olivia Colman also plays the Reverend Mother in the franchise, when she became a nun.
The passport includes Paddington's date of birth, June 25, her surname Brown and her gender, as well as her British nationality and her birthplace in Peru.

However, fans were surprised to realize that Sally Hawkins did not appear as Mrs. Brown, but instead reprized her role.
Emily Mortimer, best known for her role on HBO's The Newsroom, takes on the role as the family embarks on their latest adventure.
Speaking about her decision to leave the film, Sally previously explained: “For me, I felt it was the right time to hand the reins to someone else, and there is no one better than the truly incredible Emily Mortimer, she is extraordinary. Special.
'She embodies the essence of Mary Brown and makes it her own. However, I will always love the world of Paddington.
“I already miss my family so much on and off screen; the experience of making the first two films was one of the best and most creative moments I have had in the world of cinema.”
The film stars Hugh Bonneville (pictured) as Mr. Brown and Ben Whishaw returns to voice Paddington, with Imelda Stanton reprising her role as Aunt Lucy.
However, fans were surprised to realize that Sally Hawkins (L) would not be returning as Mrs. Brown, but would instead be reprising her role alongside Emily Mortimer (R).

As the trailer begins, Paddington struggles to hold up the photo booth while trying to pose for his passport photo.
He takes out the jam sandwich and makes sure to keep it in his hat at all times.
Later, when the family arrives at the Retired Bear Home, Reverend Mom breaks the news that Aunt Lucy's whereabouts are unknown.
“I'm afraid he has entered the jungle and we don't know where he is,” explains the actress.
Determined to find her, Paddington adds: “Aunt Lucy found me when I was little and now I must find her. You have to try it'.
The film stars Antonio Banderas, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Carla Douce and Jim Broadbent.
