The outing comes after Katie called out a troll on Instagram after she was attacked over her appearance, callously telling her she should “jump out of a window” to end her suffering.
The television presenter was attacked with acid by her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch and his partner Stephen Silvestre in 2008, leaving her with facial burns and blindness in one eye.
Katie shared a photo of the comment and, while she doesn't typically call out cruel posts, she admitted it was “beyond anything” she could handle and added to the “overwhelming burden” she was already carrying.
Follower 'Where is your nose?' To which the announcer responded, “It's incredibly painful to have thick scar tissue pulled from my face.”
Then they commented: 'Yes, it's cold but my nose is normal. I hope you stop suffering soon. I suggest you go out the window, preferably on the 10-11th floor, maybe that will ease your suffering' – constant smiling emojis.
Katie wrote: “After finishing my run this morning, already feeling exhausted due to my bad timing, I opened my phone.”
“I can handle most things, but sometimes it adds to an already heavy load you already carry.”

Fans and famous friends rushed to Katie's defense, with her co-star Colin Nolan writing: “OMG Katie this is so bad!” I think these types of people have no life, no friends, they love to hate them and then nothing.
'I'm sorry for this sad person, but it's very difficult for me. On the other hand, you are one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Don't let anyone dull your shine.'
Ranveer Singh said: “It's exhausting to call people out for unforgivable behavior, sometimes it's easier to say nothing, but sometimes you have to draw a line in the sand: take care of your energy today, my love, you are whole and deeply loved.” .
Doctor Who star Nkuti Katwa commented: “This guy really can't stand you shining.” What an incredible cretin,” Stacey Dooley added: “Nonsense. You're legit 10/10 in every way.'

The TV presenter was lucky to survive, but she had to go through a painful path to rebuild her face and her life: since then, her injuries have required more than 400 surgeries.
The television presenter suffered facial burns and blindness in one eye after being attacked with acid by her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch and his partner Stephen Silvestre in 2008.
Katie, who was 24 at the time, was an aspiring presenter but was encouraged by her parents to move to Hampshire after the attack.
Refusing to give up on her dream, the mother of two pushed for greater diversity in the television industry.
She made two further personal documentaries with Channel 4, wrote her autobiography, self-development books and columns in newspapers and magazines, and founded the Katie Piper Foundation, which supports burns survivors.
For the first two years after the attack, Katie had to wear a clear plastic mask over her face and said she did not want the mask to prevent her from “going to work” and wanted to receive “disability benefits.”
