Liam Payne spent his last birthday “doing what he loved” with his loving parents Karen and Jeff, who enjoyed a “lovely family outing” just weeks before his tragic death.

The singer, who turned 31 on August 29, fell 45 feet from a third floor into the patio of the Casa Sir Hotel in Buenos Aires on Thursday. Grieving loved ones reveal they are “heartbroken” by the loss.

The late singer took a joke-filled Snapchat during the celebrations, telling his followers that his security guard would be fired if he bowled again.

A source told The Sun: “Liam was in Manchester with his mum where they celebrated his birthday with the family.

'They were still incredibly close and spent time together bowling. Liam's family stayed with him at the Stock Exchange Hotel for a few days.

“It's sad to think that it ended up being the last time I got to celebrate his special day with him.”

Liam's grieving family revealed they were “heartbroken” by his death, adding that the former One Direction star would “be there forever.” Live in our hearts.'

They said: We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. We support each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space during this difficult time.

Liam's uncle Roger Harris also told MailOnline: “We are all very sad and trying to cope.” I hope everyone really gives them some privacy and allows them to accept it. That's all I can say.

Another relative, speaking at Payne's family home in Wolverhampton, where he was born and raised, told MailOnline: “I am absolutely devastated by the news that we are not.”

A source said: “Liam was in Manchester with his mum where they celebrated his birthday with his family.

“It's sad to think it will be the last time we will celebrate his special day with him.”

He also showed off the hoodie his girlfriend bought him.

Liam revealed that he loves bowling so much that he will be back for a second game.

Liam was raised in Wolverhampton by his mother Karen, a nurse, and his father Geoff.

Nine weeks ago, Jeff posted a sweet photo of his son and dog with the caption, '#WaitIfYouLoveMySon!' – a post full of condolences for his family.

Neighbors said Payne's parents left the £600,000 four-bedroom detached house at midnight last night when Nicola and Ruth were seen entering the property at around 9am this morning.

A local resident, who did not want to be named, said: “Last night they were seen leaving in a hurry, but I don't know if they were carrying bags.”

'You can't imagine what they go through. I know Liam wanted to be here as much as he could. They were so close that they were completely heartbroken.

'His hometown has always had a place in his heart. Society is deteriorating. I think the sisters are there now. Your heart is with them.'

A second neighbor said: “I think they left last night around 12.” The parents are not here. I can only offer my condolences.'

Nine weeks ago, his father Jeff posted an adorable photo of his son and his dog with the caption: '#youlovemyson!'

A third added: “It's really sad.” They are a very good family. I'm a big fan of Liam and when he comes back for Christmas he drives the car again.

“You know it's him because he comes with Cheryl in his black Lamborghini.”

Payne grew up on a road in Bushbury, Wolverhampton, before his big break on The X Factor.

Although the family no longer lives on the street, residents said they still remember Baines and talk about their sadness.

One resident said: 'My wife knew the family well when they lived here and always accompanied them when they lived here.

'I can't imagine how his family must be feeling right now as it must be so devastating to receive the news that their son has passed away.

“People here remember the family and I think there's a sense of shock right now.”

Another resident said he remembers seeing Payne and his sister playing in the street near the house.

He said: “It's heartbreaking to hear about Liam and for a family to lose a child.”
