Sydney rocker Keith Urban returned to the Los Angeles stage this week, days after his mother-in-law Janelle said goodbye.
The country rocker, 56, and his wife Nicole Kidman, 57, said their final goodbye to Janelle on Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay.
Two days later, Keith was back on stage singing songs and doing what he does best.
The 56-year-old took to the stage in Los Angeles on Thursday for the Amazon Music Live concert series with American country rap superstar Jelly Roll.
The Somebody Like You hitmaker looked casual for the concert, wearing a simple black T-shirt with what appeared to be a graphic pattern painted on the front.
The shirt hugged Keith's toned biceps and generously inked his arms.
In keeping with the black rocker vibe, Keith wore a pair of black jeans and let his blonde hair down to add color to the onstage ensemble.
He plays a cherry-red Gibson Les Paul Jr. guitar, which he casually slung over his shoulder.

The Save Me hitmaker, 39, wore a Tennessee Titans NFL jacket and a backwards trucker cap.
Like his stage rival, Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) opted for a dark theme with a matching shirt and pants.

Keith was in full husband mode on Tuesday as he supported his wife Nicole at her mother Janelle's funeral.
Janelle died last month at the age of 84, just hours before Nicole received the best actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
Nicole held hands with her country music star husband as he arrived at church wearing a long black coat and designer sunglasses.
The couple were also joined by their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, and Nicole's sister Antonia, 54.
In an emotional moment before the funeral, she was seen wiping tears from her eyes on Sunday as she was overcome with emotion on a difficult day.
She was supported by Faith and her cousins Lucia, 26, Hamish, 23, and Cybella Hawley, 17, children of Antonia and her late husband Angus Hawley.
The Kidman family were joined by close friends including Channel Nine star Richard Wilkins, 69, and his make-up artist girlfriend Mia Hawkswell, 47.
Also in attendance were Australian television presenter Peter Overton, his wife Jessica Rowe and their daughters Allegra and Giselle.
In a sweet moment, Allegra was seen supporting Nicole's daughters, Sunday and Hope, as she hugged them closely.

In the post, the Perfect Jodi star thanked her millions of fans and followers for their condolences during her time of grief.
“My sister and I want to thank our family for the love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in a joint statement.
'Every message we have received from those who love and admire our mother has meant more to us than we can express. Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy while taking care of each other.
