Most eyeglass cases have a small microfiber cloth. This is a good place to start cleaning your lenses. Use this cloth to try and gently remove any stains. However, more stubborn stains and dirt may require deeper cleaning. If you find yourself in this situation, Fan recommends following this procedure:
- Step 1: Rinse your glasses with warm water to help remove any dirt particles that could scratch the lenses.
- Step 2: Put a small drop of dish soap on your fingertips and gently rub it over the lens and frame.
- Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Step 4: Dry them with a clean microfiber cloth. This is key – not a paper towel or your shirt, as both can have rough textures or dirt particles that can scratch your lenses.
