A woman who was arrested for allegedly cooking her mother's dismembered body parts in the oven had a secret identity.
Torilena May Fields, 32, was arrested last week Kentucky State Police found the body of her 68-year-old mother, Trudy, lying in the yard of her Mount Olivet home, body parts simmering in a pot.
She is now accused of shooting her mother in the head and stabbing her several times, then “decapitating, dismembering, disemboweling her mother's body and placing her head, hands, feet and forearms in a pot placed in the oven and heating them until charred,” according to the indictment accusations obtained by the Lexington Herald-Leader.
But family members and friends say Torilena, or Tori, grew up as a stereotypical “country girl” with loving parents.
They say that her problems began only after she moved to California to continue her career as an actor and singer under the pseudonym Naomi Navarre.

Olivia Brock, Fields' cousin, said she still saw Torilena as “a little girl with classic blonde curls playing the piano.”
“She was an amazing pianist,” Brock told Fox 56 News, noting that she grew up with chickens and horses and was a “country girl” with “bouncy blonde curls.”
Fields graduated from Bracken County High School in 2011 and was a member of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America track and field team that was named the “biggest flirt.”
In her yearbook, her parents celebrated her achievements with photos of the child and a message that read: “We love you and wish you the best and brightest future.
Phil. 4:-13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Love and prayers always, mom, dad and family,” it said, according to Fox 56.
Torilena also wrote in the senior spotlight that she dreams of becoming a “famous singer and shocking the world.”
“If I don't succeed, I plan on going to college and going crazy in the fitness industry.”
She included as her older quote: “Life is what it is.” There are two types of people in the world: those who are forgotten and those who are remembered.
“I choose to be remembered.”

Brandon Shankle said he remembers Torilena as a fitness enthusiast, outgoing, fun and friendly
From there, Torilena went to Morehead State University, where she met Brandon Shankle in English class.
He said he remembered his friend as a fitness enthusiast who was outgoing, funny and friendly.
“She just didn't really mind anything,” Shankle recalled. “She was very outgoing, energetic, down to earth and funny.
I wouldn't say we were best friends forever, but you know, we were close enough that when I heard the news, I was just stunned. You know, this is not the person I knew,” he said.
Shankle told Fox 56 Fields he was majoring in criminology but didn't notice any “red flags” when they were classmates.
“It's one of those things that comes out of left field and is shocking,” he said of the alleged grizzly murder.
“It really made me feel sick because (the allegations) are so barbaric and gruesome.”

However, he stated that the photos were not of the girl Shankle remembered, describing the photos showing Torilena with what appears to be a red wing with bangs as “vague.”
“I know the character she portrayed, and I assume that's her alternate identity,” he said.
“You know, when I look at her social media profile, I think, 'This isn't the Tori I knew in college.'
However, Navarra has clearly had some success in Hollywood.
IMDB says she is known for her roles in the 2019 films The Desert Project and A Dance Story.
“She was an actress and she did her own thing. I think we were told a few months ago that she had been in a bad motorcycle accident and had a traumatic brain injury,” her cousin Olivia said.
“And (she) was wandering around Cali, I guess. I didn't know her name. I didn't know where she was.
“I think people there were trying to get help for her, but they weren't able to, so that's when Trudy stepped in to help.”
Shankle also noted that Navarre hasn't been active on her Instagram since 2022, which suggests she may have fallen on hard times.
Torilena returned home in August, which came as a surprise to the family, they say.
She has achieved some success in Hollywood and has amassed 154,000 followers on her Instagram account dedicated to modeling, acting, art, fitness and nutrition
Todd Brock, Torilena's uncle, also said his niece is unrecognizable following the news of her sister's untimely death.

– I heard she was interested in it, but the girl in the photo? This is not the girl we know.
Kentucky State Police responded to Torilena's family home on Oct. 9 after a man working on the property followed drag marks in the grass and found Trudy's dismembered body in the yard.
According to police, the victim's arms, legs and head were separated from the body.
The employee also discovered a pile of hair that appeared to be hers.

He then informed troopers that he had been on the property the previous day and had seen both the victim and Fields.
“On October 8, (a witness) said Torilena cast spells on them and engaged in a confrontation,” soldiers noted in the citation.
Police obtained a search warrant and entered the house because they were unable to contact Torilena.
When she finally came out of hiding, she was covered in blood, they said.
A thorough search of the property revealed a bloody mattress containing “multiple body parts and organs.”
Investigators also discovered a pot in the oven containing what appeared to be cooked human body parts. The pot was still warm to the touch.
Family members remembered Trudy Fields as a devout Christian who held the highest moral standards towards herself and others
The Brock family is now trying to accept what happened.
“How do you say, 'I'm very sad and I want justice for my family member?' But I'm also sad because my other family member is not okay?” – Olivia said.
She and other family members described Trudy as a loving and selfless woman who always made her family's needs her priority.
Her sister, Diana Brock, has stated that she is a devout Christian who holds herself and others to the highest moral standards.
“She worked hard – call the phone, something's going on, I don't care if you lost a tooth, and yes, nothing is too small,” Diana told WCPO.
She also said the family “never stopped loving” Torilena. No matter what, you know?
We don't understand…we don't disown people, no matter what you've done. We love and that's what God says.
“You know, you love no matter what, unconditionally, and we just support the family and that's what we try to do.”
The family says they plan to attend Torilena's court hearings to remember Trudy and get answers about how they can better support their niece and cousin.
She was charged with obstruction, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse. On Monday, a grand jury added murder and animal torture charges after she allegedly tortured and killed a dog.
Torilena's bail has since been set at $1.5 million and she remains in custody at the Bourbon County Detention Center.
He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on October 23.
