Why Anna disappears in every timeline in Caddo Lake

Warning: SPOILERS for Caddo Lake ahead!Caddo Lake has a very convoluted and complex timeline centered around the disappearance of Anna (Caroline Falk), but also manages to explain why she always disappears. After her disappearance in 2022, her older sister Ellie (Eliza Scanlen) sets out to look for her and discovers that in one dry part of the titular lake there is a mysterious place that exists between time periods. This location was also discovered in his time by a young man named Paris (Dylan O'Brien), which resulted in the main character of Caddo Lake traveling to different years in different ways.

Due to Anna's deep connection to lake time travel, it makes sense why the effect it had on her in 1999 led to her death.

It is heavily implied throughout the crime thriller that Anna's death in 1999 was not due to a medical condition, but rather the connection she had with the place. Caddo Laketwisting story eventually discovers that her condition had to do with her time travel, nosebleeds and feeling unwell when the difference between years is close to the limit. This explains why she drove her car off the bridge and drowned, as the location affected her. This condition later affects Paris and Ellie when they start jumping between timelines.
