With a margin of error in the race between Vice President Kamala Harris And three weeks until former President Trump and Election Day, two White House residents are heading to the biggest battleground to campaign for Harris and for the Democrats.
President Biden traveled to his home state of Pennsylvania on Tuesday when he headlined the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee's fundraising dinner.
And first lady Jill Biden will be in suburban Philadelphia — as she headlines an afternoon event in Chester County and then speaks in the evening in Montgomery County, where she grew up.
The first lady is campaigning for Harris in seven swing states, whose razor-thin margins decided her husband's victory over Trump in 2020 and will likely determine whether Harris or Trump succeeds Biden in the White House.

Biden's latest campaign jibe at fellow Democrats comes amid reports of a lack of coordination between the president and vice president's political advisers.

Both of Biden's appearances also came a day after the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates campaigned. In Pennsylvania, Trump held two events in Harris, in Erie, in the northwest of the state, and in suburban Philadelphia, in the southeast part of the community.
It was the vice president's tenth visit to Pennsylvania since replacing Biden on the Democrats' 2024 ticket in mid-July. Trump has been a frequent visitor, including rallies in Scranton and Reading less than a week ago.
Pennsylvania, along with Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada, had razor-thin margins that decided Biden's 2020 victory over Trump. And seven states will likely determine whether Harris or Trump wins in 2024 Presidential election.

But with 19 electoral votes at stake, Pennsylvania is the biggest of the key battlegrounds. And the campaigns and their allied super PACs are funneling resources to all seven states, with more money spent on advertising in Pennsylvania than in other swing states, according to data from AdImpact, a leading national advertising tracking firm.
Along with Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, the three Rust Belt states make up the Democrats' so-called “Blue Wall.”
The party reliably won all three states for a quarter century before Trump briefly usurped them to win the White House in the 2016 election.
Four years later, in 2020, Biden carried three states back into the Democratic column and defeated Trump.
