Pat's death comes sixteen years after Schofield's father Brian died of a heart attack in 2008 aged 72.
The TV star has not revealed the cause of her mother's death, but she had health problems during her Channel 5 series Cast Away, which aired last month.
The presenter revealed that both her mother and brother were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
Pat was taken to hospital last year after the presenter's 'indiscreet but not illegal' affair was exposed.
Philip cared so much for his mother that he moved home to Cornwall to be with her.
A source revealed at the time: 'It's a relief for everyone to have Pat home, it's been a very difficult time for her. She has been under a lot of stress lately.
'That's too much for anyone, let alone someone her age. Philip plays the dutiful son and plans to spend time in Cornwall looking after her.
