Princess Anne wears a leather skirt and knee high boots

Princess Anne looked gorgeous this summer in a variety of linen dresses and lightweight suits, and fall is clearly her season when it comes to fashion.

Like us, the Princess Royal seems to love the cozy season, saving all her best looks for her October travels. She has surprised on several occasions in the past few weeks, changing with her husband Sir Timothy Lawrence in red dresses combining velvet numbers and smart experimental flare.

While she's debuted a number of fall-best looks over the past few weeks, it was her visit to Hampshire's Warsaw Yacht Club last week that really caught the eye of fashion lovers.

Princess Anne was celebrating the opening of the club's newly restored clubhouse for the occasion, and of course she wore a knee-length suede skirt in chestnut brown for the special day.

She perfectly coordinated the skirt with her blue tweed blazer which had brown leather buttons in the perfect shade of the skirt.

Princess Anne paired her leather skirt with knee-high boots, a favorite of the 74-year-old, who has worn them on several occasions in recent weeks, including during a visit to France and an engagement to mark the 50th anniversary of the Spinal Injuries Association.

Read on to see Princess Anne's favorite boots and how she styles them.

In northern France

The Princess Royal slipped on her knee-high boots during a somber event in northern France that saw the reburial of two unidentified Scottish soldiers from World War 1.

For a sentimental engagement, Princess Anne paired her boots with a dark green dress with a poppy print scarf.
