Ellie Goulding has recorded a new version of the 1960s classic What the World Needs Now for a new TV advert paying tribute to supporters of Britain's best-loved charities.
The 37-year-old star can be seen playing the grand piano during the mesmerizing 1965 Top 10 hit when sung by Jackie DeShannon.
Ellie made the special appearance during a promotional video for People's Postcode Lottery – the weekly subscription lottery whose players have raised more than £1.4 billion for good causes.
The heart-warming clip begins with comedian and actor Tom Allen visiting the home of People's Postcode Lottery player 'Sarah' and thanking her for her charity.
Stepping aside to reveal Ellie, the 41-year-old, dressed in a crisp camel coat with structured shoulders, begins her heartfelt recital.

While the evocative mood lighting gives the impression of a studio performance, the video was actually shot on a residential street in Orpington, Greater London.
Ellie's emotional voice takes the audience on a journey that shows the incredible impact of player funding on charities across the UK.
The feel-good film highlights the work of seven long-term supporting charities, each of whom express their gratitude to Sarah and all veterans for their contributions.

The advert first debuted on Channel 4's hit comedy game show Taskmaster on Thursday and will also appear on ITV during the final of The Voice.
The clip begins with comedian and actor Tom Allen, 41, visiting the home of People's Postcode Lottery winner 'Sarah' (pictured) to thank her for what she has done for the charity.
Tom (pictured) then steps aside to reveal Ellie, wearing a crisp camel coat with structured shoulders, who begins her heartfelt recital.
Ellie's emotional voice takes the audience on a journey, revealing the incredible impact of player funding on charities across the UK, including the Trussell Trust.
Its down-to-earth setting is a throwback to Ellie's early years as a musician, who discovered her talent at an open mic night while studying music and theater at the University of Kent.
Her 2010 debut album Lights catapulted her to the A-list of celebrities, and she was invited to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding reception in 2011, where she performed Sir Elton John's You.
He was Ellie's last full-length release 2023 album Higher Than Heaven, but he collaborated with electronic musician Four Dead for new single In My Dreams.
Her advert features seven charities, the Royal British Legion, Battersea Dogs Home, Royal Voluntary Service, Trussell, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Onsite Youth Zones and Riding for the Disabled Association, along with the People's Postcode Lottery.
