Dennis Quaid speaks at Coachella Trump rally and says 'it's time to choose a side'

“Reagan” movie star Dennis Quaid rallied in honor of former President Trump in Coachella, Calif., on Saturday, addressing a crowd in the deep blue state that was once Vice President Harris’ home turf.

“God bless you. God bless America. I am here today to tell you that it is time to choose a side,” Quaid said on stage. “Are we a nation that defends the Constitution? Or TikTok? Will we be a nation of law and order? Or open borders? What it is? Because it’s time to choose a side.”

In the desert city of Los Angeles, formerly known for its eponymous annual music festival, Quaid said he played President Ronald Reagan, “the favorite president of the 20th century.” 2024 biopic. The actor drew parallels between when Reagan was first elected and the current political scenario.

“It’s amazing how the issues in the 1980 election are the same as they are today,” he said, recalling then-record high inflation as well as the hostages in Iran.

“We were a degenerate nation. That's what they told us. Ronald Reagan came out and said, no, we're not. Decline of the breed. We're going there. And we followed him,” said Quaid, pointing upwards. “Same with Trump, same with President Trump. My favorite president of the 21st century.”

The actor said that when he voted for Reagan decades ago, he went to his roommate's house in Los Angeles, who asked who he voted for and told Quaid, “You got kicked out of the hippies.”

“Let me ask you a question that Reagan asked America at the time, and I think that was the question that got him elected. Were you better off than you were four years ago?” Quaid Dr.

He said four years ago we had power under President Trump. “We were a Shakti is an independent nation. We had cheap gas. In fact, we used to export oil to our allies and friends. When Trump left office, Quaid said, inflation was low and “there was peace in the Middle East,” crediting Trump with bringing peace between Israel and Arab countries “on the verge of fulfilling the Abrahamic covenant.” The actor also said that Trump is negotiating a withdrawal from Afghanistan with “respect and discipline”, the former Republican president recalled how he threatened the Taliban leader with satellite images of his home.

“Iran was bankrupt,” Quaid continued. “They failed to arm Hamas and Hezbollah. And look where we are today. We basically financed that war. Four years ago, we had a secure border. We were on our way to do more and it's a nation.

The actor concluded with a personal story about his housekeeper, Josie, who he said has been in the U.S. illegally for more than a decade and uses his sister's identity. When Trump was elected in 2016, Quaid said domestic workers in Mexico “were afraid of being sent back to their country.”

“I told him, I said, 'Josie, no, you're not. That's not what he's talking about. He wants people to come here, I'll be your sponsor,'” he said. “And then we started. Right now, he has his green card and wants to get his citizenship soon so he can vote for Donald Trump.”

“So like I said, man, it's time to pick a side. Who will you choose? God bless him,” Quaid added.
