'We kiss and cuddle in prison and I can't wait for him to get out': Man who survived three assassination attempts by his wife claims SHE IS a victim

A man who survived three assassination attempts by his wife claims that she was the victim of an affair with his best friend.

Ray Weatherall (59) is battling terminal cancer as he tries to reunite with his wife Hayley (38) as soon as he is released from prison.

Hayley conspired with her secret lover Glenn Pollard – her husband's best friend of 20 years – to kill her devoted spouse in a crazy series of plots – all three of which he managed to survive.

She and Pollard were sentenced to life in prison after he was shot in the face, a pool heater exploded and they planned to end their lives with sleeping pills and insulin.

But more than five years after Hayley's imprisonment, Weatherall claims she is the “victim” and blame falls on Pollard.

In the new recording, Weatherall says: “I want her to come back to me.”

Asked if Hayley is still welcome in the family home, the father-of-seven replies: “As far as I'm concerned, yes.

– Well, because I love her. And if it weren't for Mr. Pollard, none of this would have ever happened.

Asked if the victim is his wife, Weatherall replies: “Oh, definitely.”

He added: “Me and Glenn were best friends and all of a sudden I found out he was cheating on my wife.

“Of course, things weren't going well at that point. I was sitting in the living room and his phone was on the arm of my chair and he was sitting in the chair next to me and suddenly he called, “I love you, Hayley.”

Weatherall still makes the 200-mile journey each month to see Hayley at HMP Bronzefield in Ashford, Surrey, and says their interactions are cordial.

“There was no break,” he says. “He hugs and kisses me, we sit together and we always have a family room with a double sofa.

It's wonderful. I wouldn't want to not see her, let's put it that way. I would feel bad.

The father, who has terminal brain cancer, still has a bullet scar and second-degree burns that remind him of the events.

“My goal is to survive long enough for Hayley to get out of prison and come home,” he previously told reporters. Mirror. “This house is as much hers as it is mine. I can't wait to get her back. I should have been dead years ago.

“It's a miracle I'm here. My goal is to see her walk through that door. I'll stay alive long enough to do this. People say I'm crazy, but I don't care. I visit her every month, we kiss and hug, it's wonderful.

“Hayley has been brainwashed. She was a fool. She was always easily fooled. And he is serving a life sentence for this stupidity. But I totally blame my old friend Glenn.

Weatherall claims he doesn't want to see his former best friend ever again and won't be invited to Hayley's launch party.

He and Pollard had been buddies for over 20 years and went to photos together.

The loyal husband has previously amazed viewers with his forgiveness – buying his wife Christmas gifts to enjoy in prison just months after her incarceration.

A family friend told The Mirror he wanted to give her perfume, but as liquids were not allowed in prison, he chose a Boyzone CD.

Although the judge called Mrs. Weatherall “cold and calculating” and “impatient” for her husband's death, her husband argued that she “came out worse than she really was.”

Ray was told he had a few months to live when Heather, under the pseudonym Arthur, shot him in the face like a “sniper” after a series of failed attempts on his life.

Despite his condition, her husband still travels 200 miles every month to see her at HMP Bronzefield in Ashford, Surrey

These included a pool heater exploding, leaving him with second-degree burns, drowning while fishing, and insulin poisoning.

Weatherall had no idea that his wife and his best friend of 20 years were trying to kill him after they planned a new life together.

During the trial, Maidstone Crown Court heard that the non-fatal shooting sparked a long and convoluted Kent Police investigation which uncovered a number of other failed attempts on the man's life planned before and after the shooting.

Shortly after they were jailed, Weatherall told Good Morning Britain that Glenn was the main instigator of the plot and that his wife had been “involved” in it.

He said: “I am disgusted with Glenn and his daughter. Glenn was definitely the perpetrator of all this. I'm disgusted that my wife got involved in all this.

“It was probably two or three months before I found out what was actually going on. She started being a little cold towards me.

“We've never had any problems up to this point. I still don't understand how she got involved in all this.

Their plans began to come to light in January when Ray's niece, Emma Worsfold, notified police that they were trying to kill Ray after learning about the affair.

Kent Police searched their homes and quickly recovered the bolt-action rifle used to shoot him.

Electrical devices were analyzed and hundreds of messages between Glenn and Heather were discovered, including how they planned to kill his love rival.

The jury was also told of other life-threatening incidents between the summer of 2017 and the spring of 2018 that were attributed to accidents.

Weatherall was blown up by a blowtorch explosion, was also alleged to have drowned during a fishing trip with Pollard, and was suspected of poisoning.

Glenn Pollard was given a life sentence for a minimum of 17 years, while the other two were sentenced to life for a minimum of 15 years.

Heather Pollard laughed in court with her father before the verdict was handed down.

Magistrates heard that traitorous Pollard had a firearms license and “brainwashed” his daughter – who was Weatherall's granddaughter – into firing a “sniper” shot last November.

He was shot in the face at Sandwich Marina in Kent but survived when the bullet hit his right cheekbone.

In August 2015, Ray was diagnosed with brain cancer and the following year he was given just 18 months to live with daily insulin injections for his diabetes.
