Stanley Tucci Weighs In On The Possibility Of Returning For The Devil Wears Prada Sequel

Stanley Tucci says Nigel Kipling would be happy to return to the role in The Devil Wears Prada sequel.

'If that happens, I can only say I'll be happy,' he said of the sequel to the 2006 hit. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and her sister-in-law Emily Blunt.

Tucci was asked if it would be fun to reunite with her co-stars from the film.

'I don't think fun is the word,' he admitted: 'I think we're going to have one of the best times ever.'

'I've done so many movies, over 100 movies, I don't even know how many TV episodes, but that experience was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had,' Ducci continued.

'It's the perfect mix of people [director] David [Frankel] Meryl to Anne, and Emily, now my sister-in-law,' he growled. 'It's good.'

No report has indicated if Anne Hathaway will return as Andrea 'Andy' Sacks or if other supporting cast members such as Simon Baker and Adrian Grenier will return. Gisele Bundchen and Tracy Thoms.

But before any potential sequel could begin, Doocy had to promote a new book, A Year I Ate: (and Related Thoughts).

Tucci spoke to PEOPLE about how her latest book was launched, saying, 'I didn't know what to write.

'The publishers wanted me to write something, but after I wrote the first book, I was like, “I don't know what to write,” and my wife, who is a literary agent, said, “Write what you eat. A year,” so I did.

'You start writing and things come out because every time you write about food it's a personal experience and it brings back other personal experiences or memories of people or friends from your childhood who are no longer here. But you don't see…' he explained.

“And then eating with the kids, cooking for the kids, my older kids, my little kids, I think it shows time and love and loss through the prism of food,” she continued.

What I Ate in a Year is out in bookstores on October 15th and is his fourth book.

There is no release date or confirmed cast for Devil Wears Prada 2 at this point, but the 2006 film is available to stream on Prime Video, Hulu, and Max.
