Zoe Saldana cut a chic figure as she spoke on stage at the 68th BFI London Film Festival on Saturday about her new film Emilia Perez.

The 46-year-old actress, who plays lawyer Rita Moro Castro in the Netflix film, wore a stylish gray checked suit with a single-breasted blazer and flared Tailored trousers.

She added inches to her frame with a pair of platform heels and a bunch of rings.

For the occasion the beauty styled her black dress in glamorous waves and wore a flawless makeup palette.

Zoe beamed as she posed up a storm on the red carpet before taking to the stage.

About taking on the role of Rita, Joe told Deadline: 'It's important to understand where Rita is coming from and who she really is.

'To me she lacks the courage to speak up for herself. She's underemployed, overlooked, desperate for change, but she wants power, she wants influence, she wants success.

“So the fact that she's going to pick up immediately that it's a Faustian deal – and never look back – is important to me because she's also going through a transition.

'It's not as pronounced and intense and rich as Emilia [transition]But by the time Emilia meets her again three years later she has really shed this old skin and is a different person.'

Zoe's appearance came after the actress looked incredible in a strapless blue satin gown on Friday as she attended a screening of the film at The Royal Festival Hall.

She joined her co-star Selena Gomez on the red carpet looking sensational in a figure-hugging floor-length dress.

The American singer and actress, 32, plays Jessie Del Monte, the wife of Emilia Perez, played by Karla Sofia Gascon.

The film's plot is stated on IMDb: 'In Mexico, a lawyer gets an unexpected opportunity to help a feared cartel boss retire from his profession and become the woman he's always dreamed of and disappear forever.'

It comes after the actress looked incredible in a strapless blue satin gown as she attended a screening of the film alongside Selena Gomez at The Royal Festival Hall on Friday.

Emilia Perez first premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival back in May, competing for the Palme d'Or.

The project eventually won the Jury Prize during the festival, while the girl group won the Best Actress award.

In August, the musical crime comedy was released in theaters in France – and will be available on Netflix in the US and UK from November 13.

The film was also selected as the French entry for Best International Film at the upcoming 97th Academy Awards.

Gold Derby Saldana is currently predicted to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film.

Nominees for the elite awards have yet to be announced, but already Saldana and others have received awards for their performances in the past year.

Variety previously reported that Saldana and her co-star Selena will be nominated for an Oscar in the supporting actress category, while Karla will compete for a lead actress nomination.

Gold Derby isn't the only release to garner an Oscar nomination for Saldana.

He currently tops Variety's list of predicted nominees, with his Emilia Perez co-star Selena in fifth.
