Amanda Abington gushes over 'incredible' Giovanni Bernice in recreated video released just before 'bullying' storm

Again a video has surfaced of Amanda Abington praising Giovanni Bernice after she made a series of bullying claims about him some time ago.

The actress, 50, quit BBCs Strictly Come Dancing in week six in October last year after her Strictly partner Mr Bernice accused her of inappropriate behaviour.

The former Strictly Professional, 34, was acquitted of most of the charges leveled against him by the star, while six were confirmed, and is now moving on with his career plans.

Meanwhile, a video has resurfaced of Sherlock showing off Mr Bernice's 'fantastic' dancing skills during a studio rehearsal.

In the clip, the Sherlock actress can be seen sitting in a car, praising Bernice's 'beautiful' creative approach and talking enthusiastically about her dance.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Bernice has been cleared of most of the charges brought against him by his ex-partner, actress Amanda Abington.

The 50-year-old actress quit BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in week six in October last year.

Ms Abington sat in the car with her children Joe, 18, and Grace, 16, and discussed her day of rehearsals, noting costume fittings, spray tans and press interviews.

He added: “We have to be careful because we swear a lot, me and Giovanni. We are really bad swearers. We make each other laugh.'

Ms Abington continued: 'We danced in the studio for the first time – three times for the cameras. I love our dance, it's a beautiful thing.

'He's an incredible choreographer, Giovanni, he's amazing. He has created something very beautiful, I think. So, we are both very happy.'

Despite initially appearing to hit it off with Mr Bennis, Ms Abington abruptly quit Strictly Come Dancing in week six, citing personal reasons.

Immediately after his departure, he made a series of accusations against Mr Bernice, accusing him of verbal abuse and inappropriate sexual behavior during their rehearsal.

The BBC accused Bernice of physically assaulting Mrs Abington, but upheld six of the 17 complaints.

In an interview with the BBC's Newsnight programme, Ms Abington alleged that she had confirmed two complaints of inappropriate behavior of a sexual nature.

The BBC investigated after Ms Upington, 50, pulled out of the 2023 series five weeks after making the allegations.

A spokesman for Mr Bernice said the dancer was 'delighted' after rejecting the 'vast majority' of claims against him.

Ms Abington said the former Strictly pro would 'outline his erection' during their Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.

He told the show: 'When I danced correctly, he would outline his erection in his trousers and tell me that my dance move was done that way because I got it right.'

Ms Abington described the experience as a 'constant ritual' of verbal abuse and sexual abuse.

Earlier this month, Ms Abington expressed her relief that her cancer scare meant she could quit Strictly Come Dancing – and train with Mr Bernice.

Speaking to Sun, the actress revealed that she had two lumps in her chest on the morning of her discharge.

Abington returned to the stage in the summer, starring in the play When It Happens to You, while making several television appearances to discuss her experiences on Strictly.

'In my final week, on Thursday morning, I was taking a shower and saw two lumps. After a mammogram two months ago I got the all clear.

Ms Abington went to rehearsals where she said she 'couldn't concentrate' as she worked on the cha-cha-cha with Mr Bernice, who she says told her she 'couldn't get it' and was 'useless'. .

She said her dance partner 'refused to even look at me' before telling her she had two tumors and was skipping rehearsals to go to the hospital before leaving the show.

Currently focusing on her future, Bernice recently embarked on a 2025 dance tour with her close friend and fellow dancer Anton du Bec.
