SpongeBob fans aren't impressed with Wendy's new take on the Krabby Patty, with some calling the $14 meal a “scam.”

In celebration of the popular cartoon's 25th anniversary, it has partnered with the Paramount fast food restaurant to launch the highly anticipated “Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab” meal.

On October 8, the first SpongeBob-inspired burger was cooked, and customers eagerly waited in line to order.

But when some people finally had the chance to taste a meal that included a cheeseburger, a side of fries, and a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, they were deeply disappointed.

SpongeBob fans are outraged by Wendy's new take on the Krabby Patty – with some calling the $14 meal a 'scam'

In a video that has over 2.4 million views, TikTok user Noah offered his brutal opinion on the collaboration.

“We are totally fooled by this Krabby Meal crap,” Noah said.

Text appeared above the video: “Don't buy the crab patty, it's a scam.”

Noah initially directed his criticism at the Krabby Patty itself, saying it was simply “Dave's Double with Big Mac sauce.”

According to Wendy's, there are some differences between their Spongbob-themed burger and the Double Dave's.

But the slippery distinction ultimately comes down to the number of cheese slices, the types of sauces used and the amount of meat.

Noah was equally disappointed with Pineapple Under the Frozen Sea.

“This frost is terrible,” the TikToker said as he stirred the sticky, yellowish substance of the drink.

“Mine was insanely watery, and all they did was take vanilla frosting and put some pineapple goo on the bottom.”

According to Wendy's website, Noah wasn't far off the mark here. The Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty is actually made with vanilla frosty and “mango puree flavored pineapple.”

The fast food restaurant hailed the combination as a “first-of-its-kind frosty flavor innovation.”

“There is nothing fun about this meal. There's no special box,' he said, showing the normal Wendy's bag to the camera.

“They're scamming us out of $14 for this s***,” Noah said, throwing the meal into the garbage.

“Wendy's, I'm disappointed,” he said at the end. “What the hell is this?”

Viewers shared their disappointing experiences in the comments.

“They burned my shake,” one user said.

“I got a Krabby Patty meal for all four of my family members, so we're talking almost $50 a meal,” another person wrote, before adding, “this was very disappointing.”

“I think when it comes to packaging, it all depends on where you go because my brother just sent me a picture of an entire meal, packaged in a fun box and cool packaging,” someone commented.

The Wendy and Spongebob Squarepants collaboration was announced on October 2.

In its press release, the fast food company said: “In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy's is known for quality in everything we do.

“That's why it makes sense that two of pop culture's most iconic squares are joining forces to bring the flavor of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!”
