A British beautician could be imprisoned in the US for 60 years for allegedly bringing cocaine worth £3.5 million to Mexico in her suitcases from her holiday.

Kimberly Hall, 28, claimed she was forced to carry suitcases for two men who offered her a free vacation to Cancun.

Her father said they were “developers” and reportedly “invited her to stay with them” after meeting her on another holiday in Portugal.

She claimed they “threatened” her when she arrived in Mexico and “forced her to bring two packed suitcases home.”

Her family says they contained $250,000 in cash. But investigators from the Department of Homeland Security in Chicago found 43 kg of cocaine worth $4.5 million in bags at O'Hare Airport.

She was allegedly found weighing over 900 grams, which puts her in the upper bracket of the sentencing ladder.

It is a Class X felony, punishable by 15 to 60 years in prison.

Penalties may vary depending on the amount of drugs in your possession.

He is currently in the Cook County Jail in Chicago awaiting trial.
