Police have launched a manhunt for a self-proclaimed 'Instagram rich kid' who once boasted that his family were the 'British Kardashians'.

Jack Watkin shot to fame in 2016 after claiming to have a £1.7 million fleet of supercars, access to his father's private jet and being chosen to appear on a TV show.

He claimed he lived a “billionaire lifestyle” at his family home in Cheshire and boasted about taking expensive holidays and spending money on designer brands.

However, he was left red-faced after being forced to admit that his father did not own the aircraft and that the Porsche he was photographed driving actually belonged to his mother.

Now county police have launched an appeal to try and find him, claiming he is wanted for an alleged breach of bail conditions.

The bail breach is believed to be related to conditions imposed following a recent fraud charge, The Telegraph reports.

In a statement, Cheshire Police said: 'Jack Watkin, of Wilmslow Road, Alderley Edge, is wanted for breaching bail conditions.

'The 25-year-old is described as white, around 1.70m tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair and green eyes.

'Watkin lives in Alderley Edge but visits London regularly.'

As a teenager, Watkin made headlines when he boasted on social media about owning a fleet of supercars, including Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Mecedes-Benz, a Porsche and a Range Rover.

He claimed all the cars were bought for him by his wealthy parents and said he once spent £500,000 on a Bvlgari watch and that his estate agent father owned a private jet.

He was selected to appear on a TV show called The Majors after he began sharing images of his complete lifestyle with the hashtags #richkidsofinstagram and #ridiculouslifestyle.

As well as cruising around Cheshire in his family's flash cars, the teenager claimed to fly in his family's private jet, saying their wealth earned them the name 'The British Kardashians'.

Subsequent reports suggested he was exaggerating the extent of his family's wealth as, despite claims of having “unlimited funds”, his mother was found to have lived in a three-bedroom semi-detached house worth around £480,000 in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

It was also revealed that in 2017 his father Jason was the operations director of a property agent and was listed as owning a property worth around £600,000.

The then 46-year-old made his money through the property market and earned a lump sum when his high-end estate agents, Thornley Groves Estates, were sold.

Talking about his lifestyle at the time, Jack boasted that people were “jealous” of him, but that he could “deal with envy”.

'I know my life is different from other teenagers because I am so blessed. I don’t have to worry about jobs and I have unlimited funds,” he said.

'But my life is not easy. My father worked hard to make sure I could have all these good things. Our private jet doesn't fly alone; our pool doesn't just clean itself; All my cars don't automatically fill up with gas.

'My father has to earn money to do these things. It takes a lot of maintenance.

Anyone who sees Watkin or has information about his whereabouts should report him via the Cheshire Police website, quoting IML-1697211 or call Cheshire Police on 101.

Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
