TI Confirms Retirement From Acting After One Last Show: 'I Don't Need The Money Anymore'

T.I announced his retirement from live performances, but not before giving one last show before ending his illustrious hip-hop career.

In an interview with Atlanta's 96.1 The Beat and hosts Ferrari Simmons and Pete, the Dead and Gone star revealed that his upcoming performance at the station's upcoming Jingle Ball festival will be his final farewell.

The rapper headlines a Dec. 19 show in Atlanta alongside Sexy Red, D-Pain, Savity, The Kid Laroycalith and Tinashe.

Sitting down with Young Drew, the About the Money star, 44, said: 'I appreciate you giving me my last job. Billboard.

Of the radio station's holiday concert, she said, 'I don't want to do it anymore. 'I don't want people paying me to sweat for their entertainment anymore.'

Youg Dro (born D'Juan Montrel Hart), then TI (born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) joked about turning down shows.

'I'll take all the Tibbs shows he doesn't go to. Doing them all,' the 44-year-old rapper, who is signed to TI's Grand Hustle Records, said to all smiles.

Ferrari then asked if he was 'going to do' anything for another upcoming show, to which Tip replied, 'Sure, I'm going to answer the phone to tell them I won't be performing.'

Tip revealed that he will indeed be performing again as he prepares to retire, but ultimately it will be on his terms.

As of now, TI's last gig will be at the 93.1 The Beats Jingle Ball Show in Atlanta on December 19th, which will also feature Tinashe, Sexy Redd, T-Pain, Savity, Khalid and The Kid LaRoy.

Last year, after the release of his still-pending 12th and final double album, he said he was hanging up his microphone for good.
