A technology CEO dies after falling 200 feet while climbing in Zion National Park in Utah

The multi-millionaire CEO of a software company tragically died after falling 200 feet while climbing in Zion National Park in Utah.

The National Park Service said Justin Bingham, 40, was rappelling near the exit of the popular Heaps Canyon trail with three others on Oct. 5 when he fell.

More than 50 rescuers from the Zion National Park Technical Search and Rescue Team and the Washington County Sheriff's Office worked to save the beloved father of four.

Bingham was recovered from the steep canyon by a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter and transported to a heliport near Watchman Campground.

The father, who shared his family life with 60,000 online followers, was pronounced dead before he could be airlifted to hospital.

The entrepreneur, who was a self-proclaimed “outdoors and sports enthusiast,” shared photos from his adventurous life of skiing and hiking, as well as adorable family photos with his four young children and wife, Lindsay.

His technology company, Opinion, said in a statement following his tragic death: “Justin was involved in a tragic accident while enjoying one of his greatest passions – exploring nature.

“Justin was a visionary who believed in the power of real relationships, both with our clients and within our team.

“His commitment to building meaningful relationships has left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Justin's spirit of adventure and dedication to living life to the fullest will be greatly missed.

The three remaining kayakers, along with Bingham, were rescued the next morning. Two were evacuated by helicopter and the third was helped abseil down the canyon.

Justin and Lindsay documented their life as a family of six and the story of their son Landon, who has cerebral palsy, on their YouTube channel called Life in Holland.

The title is inspired by the story of author Emily Perl Kingsley, entitled Welcome to Holland, about raising a disabled child.

Their YouTube channel has 143,000 subscribers and 53,866,596 total views of over 1,000 videos.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Bingham graduated from Brigham Young University in 2009 with a degree in business and Italian.

He obtained an athletics scholarship and competed in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles.

Tributes are pouring in on social media for the beloved father and businessman.

'I feel like this is a bad dream. I can't even imagine what your family is going through right now. I've been watching all the Binghams for years. I know I don't know you, but I love your family as much as I do,” one person said.

“Justin, we love you and your lovely family so much… All I can do is sob… I know you were doing what you loved and I'm so grateful you weren't alone,” another said.

“Justin Bingham was one of my favorite people to work, hang out with and laugh with. We only worked together on his new home for 5 short months, but it was the best,” said a third person

He always greeted me with a big smile and a fist bump. He was honest, full of integrity and I learned a lot from his positive attitude towards many things in life.

“I am forever grateful for his influence on me in such a short time. We definitely lost one of the best here on earth.”

Another wrote on the family's shared Instagram page: “I just received the news about Justin and I am devastated. My heart breaks for you, especially Landon who has been through so much.

I would like to do everything I can to support him.

“(Justin) this man lived life to the fullest, full of optimism and enthusiasm. RIP, old friend.
