Stephen 'Twitch' Bass' widow Alison Holger has revealed what it was like living in their marital home after his tragic suicide – and why she eventually sold the property.

Best known as The DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bass was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Los Angeles motel in 2022 at the age of 40.

Holkar, 36, found his world shattered as he picked up the pieces and tried to raise their children alone.

Now she's bared her soul about her experience living in their home after his death, which occurred in a motel just a 15-minute walk away.

'You know, that house was our security blanket for so long. We loved the house. It always felt very safe to us,” he said.

“But it took a turn, and not many people talk about it after grief, it's like – I was holding on to these past emotions and it was saving me, but it started to consume us,” the professional dancer shared.

'Uprooting my children was a huge decision. right? Their lives have already changed a lot. Me: “Am I right to do this to them?”'

However she saw that leaving home was the best decision for us because when we moved, we bought a new house that became our sanctuary. This was the final step in our hearing, and now that we could let go of the past and finally move forward with each other, it became free.

Their new home 'became a place for us to comfort and make new memories and new beginnings and new beginnings, and everyone felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders,' Alison revealed.

Last month, she went public with her new boyfriend, Adam Edmonds, CEO of software-focused asset management firm Entrada.

Last December, Holkar uploaded an Instagram post about grief as he approached two milestones – his and Baz's 10th wedding anniversary and three days later, the first anniversary of her death.

'Mourning never ends.. But every season of challenge has an expiry date. Keep believing and dancing,' he wrote.

The following month, on an episode of Nick Viall's podcast The Viall Files, she revealed the possibility of dating again.

'It was very difficult for me to learn to like myself again, to learn to love myself again… I found myself in a very complicated situation,' she said.

'It took me a long time to accept those things and the complexities of it all. But at the end of the day I love life.'

When the subject of a new man came, she said: 'Shall I leave it? No. Am I looking? I don't know…but I definitely won't back down from it.'
