Black actress Marzai Martin and Grammy-winning singer Paula Cole were unmasked and voted off in the Soundtrack of My Life episode of The Masked Singer on Fox on Wednesday.
The Group A finals kicked off with the three finalist teams – the three-member Buffaloes, Woodpecker and Ship – all singing high hopes in panic! At the disco.

Jenny was the only one who initially guessed correctly that it was Paula Cole because her clues had cowboy references.
“I'm an introvert and it's very stressful for me,” said Ship. 'I've been watching this show with my daughter, we love you, thank you so much for bringing me here.'

Next the woodpecker shared additional clues to its identity.
'I come from a long line of strong chicks in my family tree,' she said.
A photograph of Regina Hall, a record turntable, a globe and a burger are his additional clues. He then took the stage and sang Corinne Bailey Rae's Put Your Records On.

Woodpecker said he hopes to make his grandmother proud. Her additional clue is a pair of glasses.

Robin said he thought she was Lisa Koshy. Ken insisted it was Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson. Jenny thought it might be Tatiana Ali. Rita Ora thought she was KK Palmer. They all turned out to be wrong, and instead the woodpecker turned out to be Black star Marzai Martin, 20, who was the first unmasked contestant. Nick asks her what made her a masquerade singer.
“At first, me and my grandma Bonnie, we were yelling at her, we saw this all the time,” Marzai said. ' The show was absolutely amazing and honestly singing has been out of my comfort zone for a long time. So I think that I can be behind the mask and become this particular character, in a way this particular façade, which felt fun and exciting.
The three buffaloes came on stage next and shared their memories of losing someone important to them. They then sang The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony while dancing together.
“The Buffaloes were vocal tonight,” Nick said.
One of the buffaloes said, 'We've been in this business for a long time, we've made a lot and we've lost a lot.
Their extra show is a t-shirt that says 'Halftime Show'. Jenny thought it might be Boyz II. Ken thought they were Bone Thugs N Harmony. Rita Ora thought they might be Black Eyed Peas.
“I don't think these are peas without Fergie,” said Robin.
Dressed in buffalo and ship masks, both teams sang Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way. The ship first sang it fast but the buffaloes changed it to a slow song.
'Talk about a vocal battle!' Nick said.

“I don't think these are peas without Fergie,” said Robin.
For their final guesses, Rita Ora thought the ship was Sarah McLachlan. Ken insisted it was Alanis Morissette, Robin thought she was Amy Lee from Evanescence, but only Jenny guessed correctly that she was Paula Cole.
'Well, they asked me and I thought it was embarrassing, but I thought there's more opportunity when you take your courage and do something outside your comfort zone,' Paula, 56, said. 'So I push myself and it's fun! It's funny and I watch it with my daughter.'
