Dylan Sprouse showed off his action hero skills in the first trailer for Aftermath released on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Jack and Cody senior – who recently hit the spotlight with his model wife Barbara Balvin at a Who's Who party – plays an ex-Army Ranger in the Patrick Lussier-directed thriller.
In the film, Sprouse's character is trapped on Boston's Tobin Bridge following a bomb blast and must use his elite military training to rescue his sister and other hostages from a group of vengeful ex-military contractors led by an unstable war criminal.
When the enemy, played by Scream's Mason Gooding, begins executing hostages, Sprouse must navigate the chaos using his combat skills, instincts, and some unexpected allies.
The trailer teases a heated confrontation between husband and wife Gooding, including a gunfight on a train.

Written by Nathan Graham Davis, the project stars Megan Scott alongside Kevin Chapman (Coda, City on a Hill) and Will Lyman (Mystic River, The Other Guys).
Lussier has previously directed Dracula 2000, White Noise 2: The Light, My Bloody Valentine, Drive Angry, Trick and Play Dead.

The action film marks a significant departure for Sprouse, who began his career as a child actor.
He gained recognition in the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Jack & Cody, which ran from 2005 to 2008 and won several Kids' Choice Awards.
After the show ended, he reprized his role in the spin-off series The Suite Life on Deck from 2008 to 2011.
In addition to his television work, Sprouse starred in the 2009 film The Kings of Appletown and voiced the character Jack in the animated series Fish Hooks from 2010 to 2014.
