Buying a new TV can be an expensive endeavor, so it's always wise to wait for a solid deal. Now is that time, thanks to Amazon's October Prime Day, which offers discounts on top TV brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony. And when we say these deals are good, we're talking up to $2,000 off. This leaves extra money in your pocket for a small gift, like a fun deal under $25. Just make sure to cash in before Prime Day ends tonight at 11:59 pm PT.

Note that some Amazon discounts are exclusive to Prime members, but you can find other fall deals at competing retailers like Best Buy and Walmart.
Best Prime Day TV Deals
It's rare to find a Samsung TV this affordable. This 4K TV is smaller at 43 inches, and while some other brands have 43-inch sets for $200 or even less, if you want a Samsung, this is one of the lowest prices of the season so far. While Amazon's list price offers a $22 discount, it launched at $330 just a few months ago.
Toshiba's C350 series TV is currently discounted, making it really cheap for a 55-inch TV. This is a Fire TV, so this discount isn't surprising for Prime Day, and like most TVs, it can stream shows and movies from apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and more.
Unlike most TVs, the Fire TV Omni has built-in microphones to enable a hands-free experience through Amazon Alexa. The 65-inch size offers a large image for a relatively low price right now. Just note that this deal is available only to Amazon Prime members.
OLED TVs are expensive, but with $500 off the 55-inch size, this Samsung maintains its previous low price for 2024 so far. We praise the Samsung S90D for its excellent image quality, easy-to-use interface, and great contrast and viewing angles.
This Sony TV is more expensive, but that's to be expected from a Sony with our favorite picture-enhancing extra for LED TVs: a full local dimming backlight, which should help it deliver an excellent picture. The TV also has support for HDR and Dolby Vision, gaming features and HDMI 2.1. It's now at the same price we saw last Black Friday, and that's a very good price for this TV.
This is a huge screen size and it's not every day we see something this big from a big brand like LG for under $1,000. Yes, you can find other 85- and 86-inch TVs from other brands for a little less, but it's still a solid deal.

How we picked the best Prime Day TV deals
Many of us at CNET have covered shopping events like Black Friday, Prime Day, Memorial Day and countless others for several years. During this period, we learned how to identify the best offers in a sea of thousands of superficial offers and scams. We feature only the best deals from trusted retailers. When choosing TV deals to show you, we look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining time on sale.
- Real discounts mean genuine savings. We check the price history of products listed as on sale, so we know when it's an inflated list price rather than an actual discount.
- Quality reviews and testing are very important for any product. A discount isn't worth it if it results in a subpar product experience, no matter how much you saved.
- The remaining sales time is also important. Some offers only last for a short period of time or may be in limited supply. If this is the case, we will let you know in advance so you don't come back to the deal later and be disappointed.
Are these Prime Day TV deals really worth buying?
October's Prime Day basically kicks off fall shopping with hundreds of deals across a variety of categories, especially TVs. These deals are some of the lowest you'll see until Black Friday. If you see something you like during Prime Day, you should buy it now before the November rush.
How do October's Prime Day TV deals compare to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?
In recent years, October's Prime Day — or Prime Big Deal Days, as it's officially known — essentially kicks off the fall shopping season that culminates with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Because of its proximity, many of the best TV sales will start during Prime Day and run through the end of November. If you can wait until Black Friday, you'll probably see more deals total on TVs as retailers make room for new TV sets that tend to launch in January. The gulf in discounts isn't very noteworthy, and many of the best Black Friday TV deals tend to be extremely limited in terms of time and supply. If you're looking for a new TV and see something you like that's within your budget, buy it during Prime Day sales and avoid the November rush.
