At this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, Tim Miller announced a new series coming to Prime Video. The series, Secret Level, is an adult-animated anthology series. Each episode in the series will tell unique story set in different iconic game settings including Warhammer 40,000 and Dungeons & Dragons.
The Secret Level Anthology Series
At Gamescom, Tim Miller took the stage to promote Secret Level. Miller was noticeably emotional, stating that the show was a love letter to videogames and to the unique characters and settings to which they belong.

The teaser trailer shown at the event contained short snippets of different videogame characters. Notable standouts were a squad of Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000, God of War’s Kratos, the protagonist from the martial arts action game Sifu, and the five-headed dragon Tiamat from Dungeons & Dragons.
An official press release provided some additional information. Secret Level is a 15-episode animated anthology series. Each episode will take place in a different game setting and tell a unique story. This marks the first time many gaming IPs have been brought together in a streaming series.
Tim Miller, Blur Studio, and Supervising Director Dave Wilson created Secret Level. Miller is most well known as the director of the first Deadpool movie and as the creative mind behind another animated anthology series: Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots.
Blur Studio is most well known for their impressive pre-rendered CGI trailer work across the gaming industry. They have produced trailers for Gears of War, Elder Scrolls, League of Legends, and more.
The press release also provides a list of the different gaming IPs that will appear in Secret Level’s 15 episodes. They are as follows:

Secret Level will debut exclusively on Prime Video on December 10.
