A Universal Time Ancient Sword Guide
The Ancient Sword is a weapon you can use in battle. However, it is also used to get a new ability.
How To Obtain
There are two different ways to get your hands on it:
- Umbra Boss – This boss has a 50% chance to drop the Ancient Sword, as well as a 50% chance to drop the Azakana Mask. The Umbra Boss requires you to summon him, which you can do by paying 250,000 Coins and giving 5 Swords to the Boss Alta. There are two Altars: one at the Domain of the Forgotten, and the other in Infernal Cairn.
- Loot Crates – There is a chance to get the Ancient Sword through Loot Crates.
Yasuo
The Ancient Sword is most commonly used to get the Yasuo ability. If you give the sword to Umbra at the end of the Umbra Quest, he will replace the ability you currently have with Yasuo.
You can also use the Ancient Sword and x3 Epic Yasuo Shards to craft Yasuo, instead of completing the Umbra Quest.
With the Yasuo ability, you will unlock new moves. I’ve listed them all below, and what each one does.
- LMB Combo – Perform multiple strikes to opponents, ending with a blow that knocks them away
- Grab – Reach for your target and grab them, then launch them backward
- Steel Tempest – Thrust enemies forwards
- Sweeping Blade – Run to the opponent closest to you and slash through them
- Gathering Storm – Use your sword and spin in a circle, slashing anyone nearby
- Barrage – Throw multiple hits in a row, with the final blow knocking targets back
- Wind Aura – Surround yourself with the wind. This gives you a speed, damage, and defense boost
- Call of the Wind – Throw enemies to the floor and slash them, with the final strike pushing them away
- Gale Force – Jump into the air and create a charged ball of wind to throw at your target
