Realise your building dreams and grow an empire with Construction Simulator 4

Ever since being introduced to The Sims on PC – the original way back when – I have had a fondness for simulation games. I dabbled in Constructor and Theme Park on the PS1, but that’s when I got into them. It’s fun to try new things you might never be able to do and now we have another entry in the storied genre; Construction Simulator 4.

You will set up shop in Pinewood Bay, an area inspired by the idyllic landscape of North America. Here, you will ravage the natural environment by building massive lighthouses and even a maritime museum with the help of over 80 machines from 20 officially licensed manufacturers.

As you advance through your contracts you will need to keep a close eye on your equipment as they will start to wear, costing you more in maintenance over time, or you can fork over a large upfront repair. You do have the option to rent machines too, but expect costs to go up. It is a fine balancing act that should keep even the most veteran builder engrossed.

For those amongst you who want to go into business with a friend, this is the first title in the series to allow cooperative multiplayer. You will work alongside a friend to complete tasks in parallel and together. An excellent way to rapidly expand your company and earn those big bucks quickly.

If you aren’t sure you are ready to man your own construction empire, then you can dip your toe in with Construction Simulator 4 Lite. It will give you a taste of the real thing completely for free, and if you decide to upgrade to the real thing, you can carry your progress over. It’s a model more developers should follow.

Construction Simulator 4 is available to purchase from the App Store and Google Play for $4.99. Don’t forget to try out Construction Simulator 4 Lite first, also on theApp Store and Google Play.
