The Unexpected Delay
GSC was almost ready to release Stalker 2 on September 5th for PC and XBOX; however, shortly before its release, they announced another delay. This might be a sign that the optimization phase, considering the game’s final development stage, has been much more complex than expected.
Given that Stalker 2 is an open-world game, unscripted, with extensive and deep content, it is understandable that GSC needs more time for the release.
Info for the Future
The trailer for the delay, titled “Really, Again?”, highlights GSC’s positive relationship with their community and also showcases the console collection of the title.
To make the wait more bearable, the studio has announced a Deep Dive video with new updates and gameplay from a quest; they also showed a small but very important detail: the new look of the PDA, which is much improved and updated.
A next-gen version with new features and improvements will arrive for the collection of the originals, though it has yet to be officially announced.
The New Release Date
GSC has set November 20th as the new release date for Stalker 2 , an imposing project whose success is important for the studio.
