Dino survival is coming to mobiles this year with Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition

When it first launched, Ark: Survival Evolved had one of the most exciting premises I had ever heard of; a survival game where you can make friends with wild dinosaurs. What else do you need in a game? Happily, mobile players can soon join in the prehistoric fun with Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition.

In Ark, you awaken stranded on a mysterious island with absolutely nothing; the general survival game start, essentially. From here you must hunt food, grow crops, build shelters, and tackle the giant vicious dinosaurs who call this land home. Excitingly though, these can also become your best friends. So long as you can convince them not to munch you, that is.

Be smart, and you can tame these beasts, bringing them home to live with you, or taking them on your adventures with you as trusty companions and mounts. You could also breed your favourite dinosaurs, and show those fools in Jurrasic Park just how you are meant to run a dino-theme park.

If you have played the original version of Ark then take a breath, you won’t feel like you are starting from scratch. Ultimate Survivor Edition is completely updated with every improvement that has been made to the game since its 2015 launch. That means the only difference between versions is being able to befriend dinosaurs on the go.

When Ultimate Survivor launches you will have access to the ARK Island, and Scorched Earth expansion map, with the developers committed to releasing all maps by the end of 2025. As well as Scorched Earth, you will also be able to enjoy other massive expansion packs like Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Parts 1 & 2, and the fan-favourite Ragnarok community-created map.

Ark: Ultimate Survivor Edition will be available for iOS and Android, with a planned launch of“Holiday 2024”, because there is of course only one holiday in the entire year.
