Dragons rein supreme in Pokemon Unite as the Dragon Carnival kicks off

If you were looking for the strongest type in Pokemon and asked the fanbase, I would wager most people’s thoughts would turn to Dragon. They hit hard, are often powerful, and get used by some of the toughest trainers. Pokemon Unite is honouring these characters with the Dragon Carnival event.

Lasting until June 11th, so plenty of time to get involved, the Dragon Carnival is packed full of content to enjoy. There is a new quick battle to get involved with, a challenge centred over Raihan, the Hammerlocke Gym Leader, and the opportunity to grab yourself a license for one of six Dragons.

The Full-Burst Battle! Dragon Dustup quick battle is a match in which only Dragons can be involved. To help facilitate this, you can pick the same Pokemon as other players, so prepare for a map full of Goodras. You will encounter Altaria and that most fearsome dragon of all, Swablu as wild Pokemon.

Regidrago will be chilling in the top and bottom lanes, and when they get knocked out by a team, it will advance towards the others’ goal. Finally, heading to the middle will bring you face-to-face with one of the most iconic dragon Pokemon in history, Rayquaza. By playing these games, you will earn rewards such as a Holowear selection box, a Rayquaza Face Hat, and more importantly, a Unite License Selection Box.

After duking it out in this Dragon Rumble, you can check out the Raihan Dragon Challenge to pick up a few more rewards. By using different Dragon-type Pokemon you can complete a bunch of missions to earn tokens. You can then trade these for items such as Aeons coins, Aeos tickets, and if you are in the mood for a wardrobe change, the Raihan Trainer fashion items.

Pokemon Unite is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
