Players get the chance to control some of their favorite Dragon Ball characters, with this iteration of the game featuring fighters from across the original Dragon Ball, Z, and Super. While Bandai Namco hasn’t given an official release date yet, ratings for the game suggest it could be soon.

According to the IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority), the official entertainment rating body of Singapore, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero got the approved rating for release on the PS5. Attached to this registration, however, is the game’s year of release, stating it to be 2024. Considering how Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero also got an ESRB rating this past March, it appears the game will be released this year instead of being pushed to 2025.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Potential 2024 Window
Based on this update, any predictions of a release date for Sparking Zero seem to be more certain within 2024 now. Past leaks of Sparking Zero suggested that the game would be released in 2024 and the game would be hitting a spring or summer launch. Other more likely release windows, based on the releases of past Dragon Ball games, like Xenoverse 2, also suggest it could be in late-2024 or early-2025. Fans will need to wait until Bandai Namco releases more official information about Sparking Zero‘s release for now.
Besides the release date, the other thing fans have been speculating about is Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero‘s potential roster. The game already has fan favorite characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo, alongside more obscure but beloved picks like Bergamo and Kakunsa from the Dragon Ball Super anime. Sparking Zero has also confirmed other returning mechanics like fusion, with characters like Kefla and Gotenks being a part of the game’s roster as well.
