How To Get Lord of Blood’s Exultation

Despite the wide variety of items scattered throughout the Elden Ring, no bleed build can do without Lord of Blood’s Exultation. Depicting the mighty Lord of Blood, this talisman increases your attack power by 20% (12% in PvP) for 20 seconds when someone is nearby or if you are affected by Blood Loss. It is truly a significant power boost that can stack with the White Mask effect. But unfortunately, getting this item is not so easy.

Hidden in the depths of the Leyndell Catacombs, this item is kept behind dozens of corridors and winding paths and guarded by a powerful boss. Without exaggeration, this is one of the most inaccessible items in Elden Ring, but here is how you can obtain it.

Where To Find Lord of Blood’s Exultation in Elden Ring

Elden Ring map

To find Lord of Blood’s Exultation in Elden Ring, you must descend into the depths of the Leyndell Catacombs and defeat Esgar, Priest of Blood. Killing the boss is really not difficult, but getting to it is much more of a trouble. The entrance to the dungeon you are interested in is southeast of the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. So, after you defeat the Draconic Tree Sentinel and enter the capital, go southwest until you reach the desired point.

The next step is to reach the very well-hidden entrance to Leyndell Catacombs. Taking Avenue Balcony as your starting point, go down the stairs on the left through the metal door, and turn left. After walking a little along the metal fence, jump over it and go down into the courtyard. Walk forward a few meters and turn right near the ruined crypt. In a dark alley, there is an inconspicuous well that is the entrance to the Leyndell Catacombs. Unfortunately, getting to Esgar, Priest of Blood, and getting Lord of Blood’s Exultation is much more difficult. So here is a step-by-step guide:

  • Jumping into the well, open the metal door in front of you, go down the stairs, and go to the end of the room.
  • Turn right, go straight to a dark room with a bunch of rats, and enter the wooden door at the back of the room.
  • Turn left, go down the stairs, and enter the first door on the left to find the Underground Roadside Site of Grace.
  • Using this location as a starting point, exit the room and enter the first door on the left of the opposite wall.
  • Go down the stairs, turn right, and jump to the bottom of the room, where you will meet a giant lobster.
  • Once at the bottom, follow the torchlight and turn left near the cone-shaped pipe.
  • Go straight and turn right into the passage in the wall as soon as you notice it.
  • Once you enter the passage, take the first turn on the right to reach the next Site of Grace.
  • Enter the corridor on the left, go down the steps, turn left, and go into a water-filled room with an altar in the center.
  • After passing through the room, go up the steps and turn into the first corridor on the right towards the fire trap.
  • Once within range of the fire, take the first right, go up the steps twice, and turn right.
  • After passing the monster with the cleaver, go through the corridor and jump into another room with water.
  • Turn right, go up the steps, and enter the first corridor on the right.
  • Go straight ahead and disable another fire trap. Stand on the trap and hit it to use it as an elevator.
  • Go straight, take the first turn on the right, go down the steps, and then down the stairs in front of you.
  • Go straight down the corridor and activate the lever on the right side of the room before jumping down to the lower part of the room with the altar.
  • Turn into the passage on the left and follow it until you can turn left again before going down the steps leading to the boss’s room.

Ashes of War provide essential buffs for Elden Ring players, but some are more powerful and more useful than others.

The boss fight shouldn’t be too much of a problem if you know how to fight it. This enemy attacks you with ranged attacks, summons several dogs, and can heal itself during a battle with Hemorrhage. Ideally, you should first kill all of its assistants using ranged attacks. After this, you can get closer and kill Esgar with physical attacks that it is weak against. And once the boss falls, you will finally receive the desired Lord of Blood’s Exultation.
