The letter writer’s comment on vehicle thefts in Canada was incredibly naïve.

I don’t recall this many vehicles being stolen until manufacturers came up with the fob to increase accessibility for car owners to easily and conveniently access their vehicles.

A Club, tracking devices and kill switches have been introduced to assist owners in preventing their cars from being stolen by well-organized criminals who profit from the vulnerability of car owners who depend on manufacturers to secure their vehicles.

I am glad that, finally, all levels of governments, manufacturers, insurance companies and security officials are getting together to address this costly and devastating financial burden to those of us whose cars have been stolen. Let’s not make this issue a political Justin Trudeau government issue because it is not.

Re: End of the road; Enviro minister says feds done forking over cash for highways, Feb. 15

The purpose of Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault’s “no more new roads” is to create so much traffic congestion that what would take, as an example, one hour to get to work and then home again would become two or three, or more, hours. He hopes we minions will start using public transit or bike or walk to work and home.

He would love it if Canada went back to a horse and buggy form of transportation, but, even if that were to happen, he would create a tax on all the horse s— everywhere.

NO HELP TO ANTI-RACISM

In this opinion piece by Joe Warmington, he cites a Pierre Poilievre “X” account quote that says “Radical activist spews hate tirade against a Chinese man…”

This (Poilievre) does not help anti-racism by identifying the man as Chinese, as many readers would assume he was Chinese from China. The person is and should have been identified as a Canadian of Chinese descent.
