Unfortunate Palworld Player Makes Huge Mistake While Building Base

Highlights

  • Palworld, an open-world adventure game, has added base-building to its list of features, allowing players to design and construct their own bases.
  • A player accidentally blew up their base while trying to build while holding a rocket launcher, resulting in the destruction of the entire base.
  • Despite the setback, the player took the loss in stride, laughing off the incident and mentioning their previous struggles with that particular base. Fans are now suggesting adding a lock on weapons during building mode to prevent similar accidents in the future.

A Palworld player made the mistake of building their base while holding a rocket launcher and the results were explosive. Pocket Pair’s open-world adventure game of exploration, combat, and catching battling creatures, is moving through early access and steadily building a following of fans. Palworld has drawn comparisons to Pokemon for its monster capturing mechanics and other features but, in important ways, it’s managed to distinguish itself from the classic franchise. Notably, Palworld has added base-building to the mix.

While some fans may focus on the combat and exploration, others have poured themselves into the design and construction of amazing bases. Recently, for example, a Palworld player recreated the Burj Khalifa in the game while others have devoted themselves to building bases inspired by fantasy settings or their favorite TV or film series. In the short time Palworld has been available, there have truly been some remarkable achievements and success stories. Of course, some gamers have also suffered some setbacks along the way.

A hardworking Palworld player shares the Chikipi they got with unusually high stats, which no one really expects from the unassuming starter Pal.

On Reddit, Palworld player BlingCringus has shared a video of them accidentally blowing up a part of their base while attempting to build while holding a rocket launcher. It seems that, while trying to place a Hot Springs item, they fired a rocket instead, blowing a hole in the floor of the base. Even worse, the player then fell through the floor and fired a second shot, triggering a larger explosion that destroyed the entire base.

Palworld Player Destroys Their Base by Mistake With a Couple of Rockets

Getting the Rocket Launcher in Palword is no easy feat, and it makes for a very effective weapon, so inadvertently turning it against oneself must particularly sting for a veteran player. BlingCringus, to their credit, appears to be taking the loss in stride, however. In the comments, they respond to other Redditors by laughing the incident off, even adding that they were having trouble with that base anyway, so it wasn’t too big of a loss.

Already, Palworld fans are calling for new building features. Perhaps one that should be added to the list of requests is a lock on weapons when building mode is activated. Such a modification could prevent accidents like this in the future. BlingCringus doesn’t seem to mind too much, but the next player who blows up their base may not take it as well.

There are myriad ways Palworld can expand its base-building mechanics through early access, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what Pocket Pair comes up with. In the meantime, plenty of gamers will continue to build amazing things and some will occasionally blow them up by mistake.
