Palworld desperately needs to get this vital priority feature in the game

As Palworld continues to eat up the vast majority of people’s time, the early access game is slowly adding features and new tweaks as time goes on. But there’s one currently missing feature that fans have their fingers crossed won’t be too long before it’s added – that of a Priority queue system for Pals.

As noted by a thread on the Palworld subreddit entitled “Palworld NEEDS a work priority capability like this” – a user by the name of lord_angler has shown off their idea for a system based on the one seen in games like Rimworld. To put it simply, such a system would allow players to prioritise doing certain tasks – such as watering the crops or chopping down trees – over others. This would be incredibly handy for those wanting to ensure their base is as efficient as possible, for example, if wood is needed more than wool depending on the player’s needs – production could be focused on the former. And as the OP also adds: “It would allow for players to manually set the work priorities for Pals at their bases, preventing common issues where Pals ONLY do one task while other tasks in their skill set go unfulfilled.”

CaptchaSolvingRobot agrees. “Yeah, I have just accepted that my food is gonna spoil, because my cooling pals refuse to stay on the cooler. You can force them to do it for a little while, but soon they will find something else to do.” MekaTrik also adds their support to the idea “Yeah, this would be the best. I still want my pals to seed/harvest/water/mine/lumber when they don’t have handiwork to be taking care of.” In fact, they also go one step further: “Also, ability to assign pals to specific things properly. I destroyed the heater because jormuntide kept swapping with the fox and I had the 1-fire pal trying to cook cakes.”

There’s actually a few calls for even more granular tuning: “I would love to have it a bit more detailed,” says CoppeliusGER. “We need different priorities for mining. We gained nothing if our pals still mine at the quarry while there are several ore deposits, that would be far more important.” There are some though that’d also like to make things a bit easier when trying to find the right Pal for the job “I need a sort by ability. Or is it already there and I’m just missing it,” says Frequent_Thanks583.
