They happen to be in space to find the last piece of the black hole generator when, all of a sudden, the Turtles are beamed from space to another dimension, where they are drawn in 2D form and meet the 80s animated Turtles.

At first, they don’t hit it off, as they immediately start fighting, but not the Michelangelos, who become fast friends. They later cool off and help the 80s turtles save their dimension from the Krang invasion. This episode integrates all the jokes, puns, and epic action scenes that will put its audience at the edge of their seats, making it a unique crossover indeed.

This leads to a family rivalry between Lisa and her siblings, but in the end, Lincoln and Lina win. It also showcased the characters’ unexpected talents, making it an incredibly cool cartoon episode.
