A Honkai: Star Rail player found a neat Easter egg in the Critter Pick limited-time event. Honkai: Star Rail recently rolled out Version 1.6, which features five-star banner characters Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio, and new missions that advance the game’s story.
Honkai: Star Rail has had a number of popular limited-time events, like Version 1.1’s Everwinter City Museum Event. The latest event to attract Honkai: Star Rail fans’ attention is the Critter Pick Event, where they’re tasked to nurture and breed dessert-like creatures. These cute critters come in various colors and patterns, which also include designs based on Honkai: Star Rail characters.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Robin’s Kit
New leaks from Honkai: Star Rail are teasing upcoming character Robin’s gameplay, rumored to be releasing during a future update.
The Critter Pick event also has a cool feature where Honkai: Star Rail characters react to the critters that resemble them via text message. Additionally, Reddit user Euphoric-Shake3094 discovered special dialogue when certain characters interact with creatures they take after. In their post, they shared how the creatures reacted to Blade and Clara, mentioning details like Blade’s wounds and Clara’s “tall robot,” aka Svarog. According to the player, this only works if an area accommodates three creatures with similar attributes.
Euphoric-Shake3094’s discovery encouraged others to group up critters with the same design, so they could find as many special character dialogues as they could. In a follow-up comment, the Honkai: Star Rail player also shared the achievements they got by placing three types of Trash Cakes (Trailblazer variant) and Lucky Snacks (Qingque variant) in one area.
Honkai: Star Rail’s Critter Pick Event Guide
Honkai: Star Rail players can unlock the Critter Pick event after finishing Ruan Mei’s Trailblaze Continuance quest, where they’ll discover the origins of the cute creatures. This will give them access to the Lifeform Oven, where they can start nurturing critters of various designs. As players progress in their research, they can discover Special Mutations, which nurture critters that resemble Honkai: Star Rail characters.
Critter Pick will run until February next year, which will give players enough time to finish this event, while also exploring other Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 events. These will allow players to farm Stellar Jades and other materials, which will come in handy when pulling for Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio, as well as leveling them up. At the same time, Critter Pick can be a great pastime for players looking for an activity that isn’t as challenging as the Simulated Universe or Memory of Chaos.
