Honeycomb Hospitality held its first BBQ and Bundle Up on Saturday.

It happened at St. James Park Courtyard at 200 Wellesley St. E. enabling more than 300 people to get a hot meal and pick up some winter clothes.

“It is our first year doing this,” Honeycomb CEO Brandon Farmer said. “We wanted to get out in the community and give back – provide a warm meal and warm clothes.”
Honeycomb Hospitality – Toronto’s leading hospitality management group – provided chicken drum sticks, mac and cheese, beans, buns and refreshments.
The clothes were donated by Honeycomb customers.

Elma, who lives in the neighborhood, was thrilled to take part.
“I’m happy and feeling a little bit warmer. I appreciate people come here to help us. It is very nice because life is so expensive,” Elma said.
Lita said the day was a great holiday gift.
“This is so good. Thanks for the food. It helps me out and I appreciate it,” Lita said.
Rick said the meal hit the spot.
“Every little bit helps these days,” he said.
