EDGE top 10 games 2023 awards

Just as we’ve seen in the past, EDGE published its final issue of the year by outlining its top ten games of the year. On top of that, a number of awards were handed out.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took home the top prize as EDGE’s best game of the year. Additionally, it was selected as the publication’s Nintendo game of the year. 

First up, here’s the results list for the awards:

Main Awards

  • Nintendo Game of the Year: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  • PlayStation Game of the Year: Humanity
  • Xbox Game of the Year: Planet of Lana
  • PC Game of the Year: Baldur’s Gate 3
  • Mobile Game of the Year: Finity
  • Best VR Game of the Year: Humanity
  • Best Visual Design: Alan Wake 2
  • Best Audio Design: Alan Wake 2
  • Best Performance: Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3)
  • Best Hardware: Quest 3
  • Publisher of the Year: Nintendo
  • Studio of the Year: Larian Studios

You can find the list of EDGE’s top ten games of the year below. Super Mario Bros. Wonder cracked the top five, and we see a few other Switch games with Cocoon, Chants of Sennaar, and A Highland Song.
