Meloetta location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

How to catch Meloetta Pokemon Scarlet Violet location

Meloetta is available for capture in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC, but many have been wondering about its exact location how to actually catch it. It’s so obscure to encounter that we’d hardly call this a spoiler. Twitter user hsinhsung9487 has figured out a specific way to claim this Mythical Pokemon for yourself – and we’ve chronicled it here in case you’ve yet to catch it. Let’s get right into it!

Where to find and catch Meloetta in The Indigo Disk

Meloetta Map Location

Remember the talk of Mew appearing under the truck back in the day? The way to find Meloetta is almost on the same tier. At any time of day, fly to the location on the map listed above in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (east of the Coastal Outdoor Classroom) and keep your eyes peeled for a leaf tornado for the first sign of Meloetta. Stand in its center and start spinning for at least five seconds. When that time has elapsed, press down on the D-Pad to start up the camera. Change the filter to Sepia, and then look around in the camera mode until you start to hear singing. From there, you can exit the camera and encounter Meloetta as usual.

Though Meloetta has been available both in Pokemon GO and previous events, it’s never been available for direct capture. This means it’s the first time you can legally have Meloetta in any Poke Ball other than a Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Cherish Ball, or a normal one. Keep that in mind and pick a Poke Ball that matches it. As a side note, folks over on Twitter talked a lot about Meloetta and its spawn method – which means discerning who was truly “the first to find it” is very difficult. If you originally posted the spawn method, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to correct it.
