One The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has discovered a way to skip one of the Labyrinth challenges using a sled. Like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers multiple solutions to many obstacles and puzzles, but it may not have anticipated this quick thinking.

Nintendo carried many concepts of the last Legend of Zelda title into Tears of the Kingdom. Portions of the Hyrule landscape are similar, there are many Shrines to complete that vary in difficulty, and there’s a long list of recipes for Link to cook. Despite the overlap, some aspects differentiate Tears of the Kingdom from its prequel. One key difference is the number of items and the ability to Fuse them or use Ultrahand to create new things. One gamer has found a unique way of using the sled in one of the Labyrinth Shrines to complete it in what seems like record timing.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Glitch Turns It Into A First-Person Game

A newly discovered glitch lets players explore The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom through Link’s eyes by turning it into a first-person game.

Reddit user HollowAcoltye recently shared a The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom clip in which Link soars through the air on a sled. The clip begins with the player in an early portion of a Labyrinth Shrine where a sled has been placed near an updraft. Players can often use these updrafts to glide to locations around Hyrule, including the flumes created by the four Tears of the Kingdom dragons. Link then climbs on the sled and is immediately projected upwards, with Link switching from a standing position to a climbing one. The player navigates through a hole in the ceiling and swivels the sled to the side to reach the end of the Labyrinth extremely quickly.

Sleds can be found around the open world, including inside Starview Island and near Taninoud Shrine. HollowAcoltye’s post states that this is the “intended” use of the sled in the Shrine, but it seems unlikely given how quickly they finished it. While this trick may help players who are stuck on this Tears of the Kingdom puzzle, it may feel less challenging than it otherwise should be. There are only three Labyrinth Shrines like this one, and they are meant to be more challenging than traditional Shrines. These Labyrinths usually take several minutes to explore and solve, but this gamer has seemingly discovered a trick to bypassing some portions.

Although this sled trick worked for HollowAcoltye, some players have pointed out that Tears of the Kingdom‘s Link often gets flung from the object. Because of this, it may not be an easy strategy to replicate. Given that the sled can be used on updrafts like this, the trick may be applied to other puzzles as a quick solution.

This new adventure takes place in the same land of Hyrule as Breath of the Wild but sees something called the Upheaval, which allows link to travel to Sky Islands, as well as deep into the Depths beneath Hyrule. Players can use special abilities to fuse together weapons, and build items to help them progress through the release.
