  • Players now receive reputation from harming enemy lieutenants and faction leaders, even if they die or leave later. They also receive reputation for protecting their own team’s lieutenants.
  • The event time limit for the Ashenvale PvP zone has been doubled to 60 minutes, and players can obtain the Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf mounts at Friendly reputation instead of Honored.

World of Warcraft Classic just made some incredible changes to the reputation gain and rewards for the Ashenvale PvP zone in the Season of Discovery. This change makes it much easier for players to gain reputation through the world PvP event and lets them earn the only mount in the retro World of Warcraft servers right now much faster.

The Season of Discovery is World of Warcraft Classic’s newest project, featuring some significant changes to its nostalgic formula. Players can find and engrave Runes that drastically alter their class, challenge a 10-man raid version of Blackfathom Deeps, and visit Ashenvale, which has been transformed into a world PvP zone.

A World of Warcraft Classic player runs into the item that spawned one of the most memorable memes in WoW history during the Season of Discovery.

Recently, World of Warcraft announced a series of improvements it was making to Ashenvale to make the experience more engaging for players. According to the WoW Classic forum post announcing the changes, reputation gains for the Lieutenant mini-bosses and faction leaders have been adjusted so players are rewarded as long as they harm the enemy at least once, regardless of whether they die or leave later. Players also get reputation for protecting their own team’s lieutenants, and the event time limit itself has been doubled. Most importantly, players can now pick up the Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf–the only mounts available in Season of Discovery right now–after reaching Friendly, rather than Honored.

Ashenvale PvP Changes in WoW Classic Season of Discovery

  • Tagging an enemy Lieutenant or faction leader with any hostile action awards 200 reputation when the enemy dies.
  • Players get reputation while dead or elsewhere in the zone when a tagged enemy dies.
  • The winning faction gets 100 reputation for each living friendly Lieutenant after claiming victory.
  • The Ashenvale PvP event in WoW Classic Season of Discovery now lasts 60 minutes, rather than 30 minutes.
  • The Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf can be obtained at Friendly reputation with the Silverwing Sentinels and Warsong Outriders respectively, instead of Honored.

Fans are glad World of Warcraft Classic is making these changes. While the world PvP in Ashenvale has been a lot of fun for the players who have reached the WoW Classic Season of Discovery level cap, the time limits and reputation rewards have caused some frustration from players. These changes have gone above and beyond, fixing most of the problems players have had with the PvP event and more.

So far, Season of Discovery has been impressing players with rapid responses to feedback. Only a few days earlier, WoW Classic made the Warlock’s Metamorphosis tanking rune easier to obtain after fans criticized it for being locked behind the raid. Hopefully, World of Warcraft Classic can continue to impress players as the Season of Discovery continues.
