Matan Even, the infamous internet troll who crashed The Game Awards in 2022, has been permanently banned from the venue. This information came about when Even shared a lifetime notice warning him of this development shortly after The Game Awards concluded this year.

Better known as “The Bill Clinton Kid,” Matan Even entered the cultural zeitgeist after The Game Awards in 2022 when he snuck on stage with developers of Elden Ring during their acceptance speech for Game of the Year to dedicate the award to his “reformed orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.” His actions inspired plenty of memes, as well as copycat crashers who rushed the stage during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August 2023.

The Game Awards is under fire for rushing award-winning developers off stage, prompting criticism from the community.

Even did not appear at The Game Awards this year, to the relief of some and the chagrin of others, but now, the infamous internet troll has revealed why. On his personal Twitter, Even shared an image of a notice of trespass warning. The official document was given to Even by the Peacock Theater, the venue for The Game Awards every year, informing him of his permanent ban from the location for the rest of his life. Given that he was served with the ban on the day of The Game Awards, it seems Even may have tried to attend the show after all.

Who is the ‘Bill Clinton Kid’ Matan Even?

Though his appearance at The Game Awards brought him into the public eye, Even has been around for a while, with his first documented crash back in 2019. Since then, he has appeared all over the place, both before and after The Game Awards fiasco:

  • 2019
    • Even flashes a “Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong” sign during an NBA game.
    • Even shares an interview with Owen Shroyer of InfoWars about the Hong Kong protests on his YouTube channel.
  • 2022
    • Even crashes The Game Awards, becomes known as “The Bill Clinton Kid”.
    • NeonSniperPanda has Even on a podcast to debate OnlyFans models, where he challenges one guest to “name 10 books.”
    • Sneako hosts Even during a livestream.
  • 2023

    • Even appears in the crowd at a Super Smash Bros tournament.

    • Even appears at Wrestlemania 39 and sneaks into a KSI boxing event.
    • Even starts “The Matan Show” on his YouTube channel.

It seems unlikely Even will appear at The Game Awards in the future, but the world likely hasn’t seen the last of him yet. Fans of his bizarre work will have to see where the famous troll shows up next.
